A week ago we closed The Boys Are Kissing @qtopia’s Loading Dock and what a spectacular ride it has been.

This show holds such a special place in my heart and has taught me so much along the way. It rekindled a joy within me for my work, gave me the gift of working alongside some of the most talented actors I’ve ever met.
It challenged me and made me realise I’m capable of so much more than I thought in my work and I fell wildly in love with some amazing humans who endlessly encourage and inspire me. Most importantly I walked away feeling proud of myself, which is not something that comes easily to me.

Until next time… YEAH THE BOYS! 🌈🪽

The one time I came close to the great @samneilltheprop was at the Wellington premiere of The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, in 2002; wish I'd had a chance to talk to him (about anything), but of course there was a queue of actual interviews for him to do, and no time to chat with every photographer in the lineup.

Even so, his immense charm and gentle manner stuck with me, overhearing bits of his conversations as he worked his way along the fence beside me, trying to be heard above the massive crowd that day. So very sorry to hear of his passing today, here in Sydney--and I know all of New Zealand is feeling the same.

Love coming to the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace for pretty much any film, but it feels especially appropriate for watching Gloria Swanson in an Erich von Stroheim silent film…!
