…and we capped off this great weekend at @playlandparkofficialpage! It’s impressive that they do a great job of keeping the classic charm of the Art Deco architecture and have it well maintained. Such a fun day!!! Mother Nature was super cooperative ☀️ and we had a delicious lunch @tikibeach.rye while enjoying the sweet sounds of @blue.moon.brothers and @colinlauri !! Such great energy!! It was the perfect sonic backdrop to great day!!! We screamed on the dragon coaster and had a blast!! ..what a great action packed weekend we just had! We went to @themuseumofmodernart on Friday night (it’s free!) to check out two fantastic exhibits. We saw Frida and Diego “The Last Dream”, done in conjunction with the Metropolitan Opera’s new production of El Ultimo Sueno de Frida y Diego. The set designer used the artist’s lives and artworks in his designs. We also spent time seeing “Face Value”, which presented how images were manipulated for public consumption way before digital technology!! The museum was active, lively and had music filling the air, fun times!! #ilovenyc #museum #moma taken in MoMA The Museum of Modern Art by @robertferraro

…so after enduring the insanity of commuting back in the aftermath of the #amtrack fire 🔥 on Thursday night, we went out to @panerabread to figure out if we were going in to see @brigittecallsmebaby …it was gorgeous weather, so we emphatically said yes! We’ll pretend we’re 25 for the next few hours!😁 ..and we pulled it off with #genx precision! Denise never wastes a photo opportunity, even at the train station!!😁We got an 8pm train beck into Grand Central, hopped on the 6 train, and got to @boweryballroom a little after 9pm, they just started..We wound up, by accident, stage left, right in front! Such an energetic band!! They had a hard stop at 10pm..the second they ended, Dee said “there’s a 10.28pm train!” “We just might make it!” ..we chase down a 🚕, he hopped on the FDR, he gets out, 10 minutes to go..he drops us right past Pershing Square, we run like crazy, down they never ending escalator into GCM, 10.27…we get on the train, the doors close 30 seconds later! By 11.15pm we’re home…we pulled it off! We had a great time!!😁🤣 #funtimes❤️ #ilovenyc taken in New York, New York by @robertferraro

…tonight when I barreled through the #2 train heard coming into #pennstation I did a triple take and said “it can’t be, is this…Joya?!” I am such a fan and the last time I saw her was in #atlanticterminal Brooklyn!! …we had a great time seeing #beckyshawbroadway at the #heyestheater!!! Highly recommended and it was funny!! A few doors down, we come across @johnspizzerianyc and had a delicious dinner and dessert there! I can’t believe we haven’t been there before! We had a great time, loved learning about the history and most of all, it has a great chill atmosphere!! ..we had a great day in spite of the rain at @nybotanicalgarden !! The Orchid Show was so colorful and fun!! The NYC themes woven in displays were really creative! ..today was the #ribboncuttingceremony✂️ for @helpusa ‘s new home of the HELP Woman’s Center! Speakers from the NYC Mayor’s office, executives from HELP USA, Camber Property Group, Artist Shantel Martin, all spoke about what this facility means to the community, to NYC and how unique it is even nationally! There were remarks by a woman, Gina, who spoke of her journey from being homeless 25 years ago, and how @helpusa changed her life. It was a testimony of how HELP USA impacted her life. It was really moving to hear her story. Through my career, there’s the traditional topping out party for the workers, excitement when TCO is in hand. Moments where the last beam or bucket of concrete are lifted. But today’s events were beyond that. When all your efforts go to people truly in need, it just makes it all much more gratifying. The feedback from everyone on the outcome of the project just felt great. I am grateful for the professional growth this opportunity has given me and our team! #safetymatters #teamwork #makesthedreamwork taken in East New York by @robertferraro
