Bladesmithing since 1986, I have a special love of the forged blade, but don't give myself any limitations when it comes to creating.

So I got some 8670 steel to try out! Thanks @sc.blades for giving me the idea to look into it!
So far I am really liking it a lot. This is the first blade made of it. For those who aren't familiar, it is ranked 10 out of 10 for strength. Not displeased with the razor sharp edge it takes either.
This knife is the first I have made from 8670. It has a 4 1/2" long blade and is 9" long overall.
Unless someone just has to have it, it was going on my belt for testing and evaluation, but someone wanted it more than me! 😆
I am quite liking this design as well!
Spoken for.

A Kukri inspired chopper.

11 3/8" of convex-ground cutting edge of 60Si2Mn super strong spring steel with a thicker and heavier front reverse taper-- gives this one a very effective cutting edge.

It is 16 5/8" overall. The handle is black linen micarta with natural canvas micarta and white G10 liners underneath and stainless steel pins. I gave it two thong holes- front and back to allow the user decide whichever they prefer, if any.

As you can see, it whips right through a 2" piece of bamboo. Impressive for it's size!

Available. Please dm me for more details.

Made this one for testing and evaluation as my personal edc. So far, I am loving it!!

Astute knife enthusiasts should be able to easily recognize my inspiration and design influence for it.

It has a 4 7/8" long forged blade of razor dharp 60Si2Mn steel. At 9 3/8" long overall, its really the perfect edc size.

NFS, but I am happy to make you one similar to it if you want one!

Another sweet knife for @joe_kosugi13 .

This will compliment his much longer version of (practically) the same knife. It has a 4 3/4" long blade (tip to plunge)- or 5" (tip to scale) of 60Si2Mn steel that has been differentially hardened. It is 9 7/16" overall.

The scales are rubber and it has stainless steel pins.
He is having me send it to his favorite sheath maker, so that is why I didn't have a sheath featured here.

Thanks @joe_kosugi13 for the opportunity to make this. I hope you love it!

Kindjal.
The traditional dagger of the Cossacks which is elegant, balanced and highly effective. It is believed by many to be the early predecessor of what later inspired the Roman Gladius short sword.

This one is made for the Great Grandson of a true Cossack who wishes to honor his heritage and come closer to it as well. I am very honored to have been chosen for such a project.

It turns out, my choice of blue and olive drab linen micarta were quite appropriate since these are the traditional colors of the very tribe he came from! I didn't know that ahead of time.

The blade is 12" long, and the overall length is 18 1/2".
It is forged from 60Si2Mn steel and has bronze pins.

This was a commissioned blade, so therefore is Sold.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing this piece inspired by tradition and history! by @robertgardnerbladesmith

The Floridian Toothpick.
7" of forged spring steel blade with an integral lyrical forged double guard. Spoken for now. Thanks for looking! by @robertgardnerbladesmith

Lightweight EDC.

This one weighs just 5.6oz and 9.4oz with sheath. The blade is hand forged 50100 carbon steel that is convex ground . It has an edge length of 5 3/8" and an overall length of 10" That's a lot of knife for such a comfortable carry weight!!
The handle has scalloped natural linen micarta with stainless steel pins. The leather sheath is outfitted with a kydex belt plate that readily allows horizontal or vertical carry. It can change sides too! Super versatile.
Somebody better snag this one before I decide to adopt it into my carry rotation! 😅
