This is what’s actually in the show, both mine and selections from the traditional Shiva Linga paintings. This collection has been shown extensively in the Western art world — the Pompidou in Paris, the Venice Biennale, Feature Inc in New York among others. Spending a week with the originals has been illuminating. I’m honored to be here! …………….#postmodernism #shivalinga #newpaintings #nocolor taken in Fairfield, Iowa by @roberthoerlein

“Paintings from Two Worlds” is a pairing of my series “the body gives itself” with traditional Shiva Linga paintings from Northern India. The oval is seen and felt as an essential body, an unelaborated body. ……. The opening is June 5 at 6:00 - 9:00. Gallery director Bill Teeple will interview me in the gallery Thursday, June 11 at 7:30. taken in Santa Fe, New Mexico by @roberthoerlein

Sometimes it feels right to go deep into pure saturated color. Then the color tells the story. ………. #color #saturatedcolor #alizarincrimson #larrypoonsstudio #frankbowling taken in Santa Fe, New Mexico by @roberthoerlein
