WHY WE CHOSE THE D.R. OVER CANADA 🇩🇴⬇️

1️⃣ More Bang for Your Buck 🏠✨
In 2019, we traded our average family home in Canada for this stunning villa upgrade in the Dominican Republic. You get MORE for LESS!

2️⃣ Education Beyond Expectations 📚🎓
I was skeptical about the schools here at first, but the North Coast changed my mind! Our kids are thriving in a private school with smaller classes, superior resources, and an incredibly supportive community. Every parent’s dream!

3️⃣ Endless Summer & Outdoor Adventures ☀️🏄‍♂️
Warm weather all year, from surfing to hiking to kitesurfing—the D.R. has it all. We’re less plugged in and more tuned into nature, making family time active and memorable.

THE REASON I MOVED TO THE D.R. 🇩🇴⬇️

1️⃣ Get More For Less - Homes here are more affordable than back in Canada, and you truly get better value for your dollar. Live the dream without breaking the bank!

2️⃣ Education - Contrary to what many think, the D.R. offers excellent educational opportunities. Our kids are thriving in a fantastic private school, making great friends and loving every moment!

3️⃣ Warm Climate & Outdoor Activities - From surfing and kiting to hiking, Cabarete, the Surf & Wind City of the Caribbean - offers endless outdoor activities. The warm climate means you can enjoy these ALL YEAR LONG. 🏄‍♂️🌞

There are way more than just these reasons, but these are DEFINITELY some of the key points. 🔑

MY BIGGEST REGRET is that I should have moved my family here sooner! 🫤

One of the reasons we changed our environment:

We wanted mornings that felt lighter and live in a place surrounded with natural beauty - and the Dominican Republic gave us exactly that. :) by @robertmac_ceo

Everyone talks about the beaches in Dominican Republic, but nobody tells you about the roads. 🚗🇩🇴

From motos with 5 people, trucks stacked with plantains, to “creative” passing on one-way highways — it’s chaos with Caribbean flair. 🌴 The secret? Stay calm, expect the unexpected, and you’ll be just fine. 😉

💬 Tell us — what’s your craziest driving experience in the DR? by @robertmac_ceo

The Amber Highway could be a major turning point for the North Coast of D.R. 🇩🇴

With Punta Bergantín driving investment and development, the connection between Santiago and Puerto Plata could open up significant opportunities for the region.

What do YOU think? 👇 by @robertmac_ceo

Most people think moving to the Dominican Republic is all about beaches and lower costs.

But after living here for years, I've found there are a few benefits nobody talks about.

✅ Feeling safer than many major cities in North America
✅ Giving your kids an international education and global perspective
✅ Reclaiming your time with affordable household help that reduces stress and improves family life

The last one sounds simple, but for many families it's the biggest lifestyle upgrade of all.

Living in the DR isn't just about changing where you live.

It's about changing how you live.

What would you add to this list?

Have you visited this area before? This is The South of the D.R. (Barahona, San Juan, Perdenales, Azua, etc…)

🏄‍♂️ The best thing about Encuentro isn't the surfing. It's the community.

No big chains. No crowds. Just local coffee shops, great restaurants, and people who know your name.

That's exactly why so many buyers are excited about 🌊 The Wave.

✅ Phase 1 is complete and looks amazing.
🏗️ Phase 2 is now launching.
💰 Starting from $200,000 USD.

A walkable beach community built around the lifestyle people are searching for.

This is how we do it! ⛳️🔥 Our annual team golf tournament took us to @playadoradagolfcourse this year, and it was a day we’ll remember.

Teams, friendly competition, and more laughs than we can count. Then we finished at @brasero.do, the Brazilian steakhouse on the beach, with great food and even better company.

Congratulations to this year’s winner, and thank you to everyone who made it happen! 🏆 by @robertmac_ceo
