You may have heard him over the airwaves recently, but did you know Casey Erlewein ‘26 is an RMU alum? 🎙️📡

Shortly after graduating in May, Casey accepted a full-time role as a producer on The Big K Morning Show with Larry Richert and FM Traffic Reporter. @cbspittsburgh @kdkaradio @audacy

During his time at Robert Morris, Casey interned with the Pittsburgh Penguins radio network, was the GM of RMU Radio, and worked as a host and producer for RMU TV. 📺

Casey was also the play-by-play announcer for the Emmy winning student broadcast team who took home the Mid Atlantic Collegiate Award for Live Sports Production. 🏆🏒🎥 #Unstoppable by @robertmorrisuniversity

Day in the life of Covestro intern and rising senior, Gianna Fotia ‘27 🌟🎥

Gianna is spending her summer interning at the Covestro North America Headquarters office as a Data Analyst, located just 10 minutes from campus! 📊✨

The Ellwood City, PA native is completing an accelerated program at RMU, meaning she will graduate with both her bachelor’s in statistics & data science and her master’s in data science next May. 🎓

“RMU has always encouraged me to grow through supportive professors and opportunities. After every semester, I’ve felt more and more prepared and confident for my career after college. All of these positive experiences prepared me for my internship with Covestro.”

Gianna is in the @rmu_honors_program and is involved in multiple clubs and organizations including @rmu_analytics, @rmusportanalytics, and is a Colonial Ambassador for @rmu_admissions. She also is verified spin instructor and teaches classes at @rmucampusrec! 🚴‍♀️#Unstoppable by @robertmorrisuniversity

Meet Luke Lounder ‘25, owner of Joe’s Dairy Bar & Desserts 🍨🌟

Luke opened his Avella, PA ice cream shop last summer and has been serving up sweet treats since graduating from RMU with a bachelor’s in finance. 🎓

“I took a ton of from what I learned at Robert Morris and applied it to my business. The core classes around accounting, financial planning, management, marketing, create an atmosphere of thinking that you need to be a successful entrepreneur. I’m really thankful for the learning experiences I had at RMU.”

The @rmu_alumni and entrepreneur named the shop after his late grandfather.

Luke says the support from the local community in Avella, PA, his hometown, has been incredible. And of course we had to ask him what his go-to order is: “My favorite ice cream has to be either blueberry cheesecake or peanut butter pie.”

Meet Monique Sawyer ‘26 🌟

Monique graduated from RMU in May with a bachelor’s in psychology. 🎓 Now, she’s working full-time with the Community College of Beaver County in enrollment services and plans to pursue her master’s in counseling psychology. 👏

Monique transferred to RMU in the Spring of 2024 after graduating with her associate’s from @ccbcedu.

“I was extremely nervous for the transition. I was a commuter and coming in as a junior in the middle of an academic year. I thought it would be hard to find my place or build connections and friendships. As the semester went on, things started to change for me. I slowly noticed myself start to step out of my comfort zone. I began meeting awesome people who are now my lifelong friends, I joined honor’s societies, got involved on campus, and even became a student ambassador for the Center for Student Success in Solution Central.”

Reflecting on her experience at Robert Morris, Monique said
“My time at RMU truly brought me out of my shell, and for that, I am forever grateful for this university. The connections I have built with my peers, supervisors, and professors are irreplaceable. Transferring to RMU was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It allowed me to strengthen my confidence and professional skills, as well as providing me with a support system I didn’t know I needed. Reflecting on my journey, RMU was exactly where I needed to be.” #Unstoppable by @robertmorrisuniversity
