If I’m sharing previous work, I’d be acting a fool by neglecting to post some of my favorite photos from the Sunshine State. ☀️ In fact, I’ve been fortunate enough to spend just as much time in Florida as I have deep in the mountains. Primarily, courtesy of @yvette305, our extended family, and dear friends down south. 🏖️ As usual, I keep my camera nearby and get to shootin’ when the moment calls for it. This is only a mere fraction of the images produced over the last few years. 🌴 There’s no feeling quite like the warmth of the sun, the Caribbean breeze embracing your skin, and smelling sea salt in the air. 🌊 Even during the conceptualization of @Powers_Visuals, I thought about how incredible it would be to eventually expand and open a photography studio in Overtown, Harlem of the South, catering to its BIPOC professionals and countless minority-owned organizations. 📸 Maybe one day... ✨ For now, I do hope you enjoy revisiting these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Out of all the places I’ve been fortunate enough to shoot, I can confidently say that the Bay Area sits at the top of the list. 🌉 After a few successful gigs on the west coast, I found myself with a bit of free time and decided to rent a lovely house in San Anselmo, California with the simple goal of merely exploring, and pulling out a camera when the moment calls for it. 🐾 It’s just so strikingly beautiful there! With every shutter of the lens, I felt my connection to the region intensify. No doubt, I knew this feeling would resonate within me for life. ✨ In fact, I even took it a step further, loading up the whip and driving out to Point Reyes National Seashore — I’ve wanted to shoot there FOR YEARS. 🫠 I’m very grateful to have had the time, resources, and energy to conduct this photo project — I aspire to make a return trip. 🌊 In the meanwhile, I do hope you enjoy reviewing these images as much I as I enjoyed producing them. As I map out and prepare for this summer’s photo projects, I can’t help but reflect on this special mission I embarked on a few years ago: shooting at the majestic Yosemite National Park. 🏞️ Spending time @yosemitenps is something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do—I’m super grateful to have scratched this off the bucket list. 💫 Very much looking forward to setting time aside and visiting our country’s many national parks (@nationalparkservice) and extensive forests system (@u.s.forestservice). 🎞️ Until then, I do hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them—it was such an unforgettable trip! —RP 🙏🏾 taken in Yosemite National Park by @robertmpowers

Before the pandemic, I rented a Cessna 172 in order to capture aerial photos of the beautiful, magnificent Chicago, Illinois. 🛩️ Even better, I called upon @DrIsenstadt, a licensed pilot, to man the aircraft for me — he agreed to do so without hesitation. 💯 A few years ago, I shared a highlight photo here on Instagram, however, it’s long overdue I post the album in its entirety. 📸 By no means am I an aerial photographer (yet) but let me tell you this — it feels real good taking space up there. ⛅️ We plan on taking flight again as it’s time to update PV’s portfolio (@Powers_Visuals) but for now, I present to you some of our best work to date. 🎞️ I do hope y’all enjoy these images at least as half as much as I did while capturing them from the skies. —RP 🙏🏾 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @robertmpowers
