Lufthansa rejected our EU261 compensation claim, stating that our delay was caused by a bird strike during taxiing.

However, immediately after the incident, the captain made an announcement to all passengers explaining that, during pushback, the aircraft had been struck by a passenger staircase, causing damage to the wing.

The attached photos were taken after the aircraft returned to the gate and show the visible damage to the wing following that incident.

We are therefore asking @lufthansa to explain how the official reason given for denying compensation—a bird strike during taxiing—is consistent with the captain’s announcement, the events witnessed by passengers, and the physical damage shown in these photos.

We are not asking for special treatment—only for transparency and an accurate account of what actually happened. #transparency #lufthansa #birdstrike taken in Frankfurt Airport by @robertomorone

We had the honor of welcoming a high-level institutional delegation to our headquarters, including the Italian Ambassador to Poland Luca Franchetti Pardo, the President of the Pomerania Region, the Head of Człuchów County, the Mayor of Człuchów, the Chairman of the City Council, the Chairwoman of the County Council, the Pomeranian Regional Councilor, and a Member of the Polish Parliament.

A valuable moment of dialogue and exchange, strengthening the relationship between our company and local institutions, while reinforcing the connection between Italy and Poland.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to present our activities, our strategic vision, and the daily commitment that drives our development, thanks to the presence of Roberto Morone (CEO), Alessandro Morone (Member of the Board), Stefano Bonaventura (Sales Manager), and Mauro Dalzocchio (Production Manager).

We sincerely thank all the guests for their presence, as well as everyone who contributed to making this important moment possible.
