🎧The director Adam Michael made an excellent point in our conversation on INDUSTRY INSIDER. Delaney captured his attention from her audition because she understood the history and intimacy in relationship to the other character. She chose a slower more mindful pace that included a long dramatic pause. Adam felt too many actors raced through the scene skimming the surface, whereas Delaney’s reading felt present and genuine. He said it’s easier for an actor to quicken the pace, but often finds it more challenging to slow the pace down. The Dream Lab Studio coaches actors to discover the rhythm, pace and breath rooted in genre, circumstances, and relationships.
