Rip Wheeler aka @colehauser22 and Annette Bening enjoying an 18 hour smoked brisket in front of my print. It was an honor to have 3 of my prints used on set of the final season of Yellowstone, and I'm equally honored to see this one used on the new spinoff: Dutton Ranch. @101studiosco If you haven't been watching the show, check it out! I've really been enjoying it. Sorry about the shitty Iphone pic. by @robhammerphoto

Some real world photos of my photos in use. These are from a really fun shoot with a great crew for McDonald’s which were created to promote the Calgary Stampede in Alberta. The idea was to highlight an everyday item used by real cowboys that mimics the iconic Golden Arches. So we decided to get a cowboy hat custom shaped and have it be the focus of the photographs. I love commercial shoots like this where everybody wants to collaborate and have a good time in a stunning location like Alberta. Fun fact: McDonald’s Canada gets all of its beef from ranchers in Canada. Thanks for having me @cossette.en by @robhammerphoto

2018 was the first year exhibiting work in a gallery and I've done so every since, in galleries as well as museums, but this past weekend was the first time exhibiting at a juried fine art festival (Cherry Creek in Denver). It was a rollercoaster of an experience that took place over 3 days and led to incredible connections with amazing people over shared interests. Apparently 200,000+ people attend the festival, so you can imagine that the knowledge and opinions of all those people are quite varied. Plenty of folks just walked on by my booth, but the ones who came in had overwhelmingly positive things to say in reaction to the work. I'm grateful for that, but what really stood out were the ones who asked things like "People really still do this?" Meaning they couldn't believe that cowboys actually exist. One of the main points I try to show with this project that I love so much, is the real every day lives of working cowboys who have dedicated themselves to such a unique lifestyle, which is too often glamorized and skewed in movies. And fielding endless questions like that proves most people have zero idea how beef winds up on their plates. by @robhammerphoto
