Many thanks to the wonderful couple who purchased this painting, fresh off the easel, at the Labor Day Arts Festival!

It's inspired by a photo that a friend of mine took in Montana. Working on it, I enjoyed the challenge of chasing a balance between reproducing the reference photo while keeping it abstract and loose on the details.

I'm very grateful that it fund a home right away.

We finally met all together at pick up!
The show is over, but the joy of exhibiting with these talented artists will stay.

Many thanks to @mcpafindlay for hosting DiverSCAPE, an exhibition of textural landscape paintings by six female artists.

When I saw that boy playing with his stick in the water, I knew I had to take a photo and paint him.

These two pieces would look great in any space.
The muted color palette - for me - and the peaceful scenery bring serenity and wonder to the viewer.

Very thankful for all who joined us at the opening reception for Living Earth - Collaboration Work of Robie Benve and Dawn Petrill at the RAW Gallery!

It has been a blast to work with Dawn for a year and what a great way to celebrate the completion of the co-mentoring project!

Many thanks to the @ohioartleague for the opportunity and to the @ohioartscouncil for the grant that made it possible.

Laura Savage, executive director for the Ohio Art League, was great to work with, alongside all the other board members AND Rod, Laura’s husband that helped us install the mobile 🙌🏼

It has been wonderful to work with Dawn for a year and what a great way to celebrate the completion of the co-mentoring project!

It was a lovely afternoon with friends and art lovers, lots of chats and laughter.

On the other walls of the gallery there is work by George Leach, amazing paintings of the Topiary Park!
George (not in the picture) is also the owner of the gallery, his work is featured often. He has created several bodies of work.

I wish I took a picture with everyone!

Dawn and I were dressed almost identical 😂 and we both wore a piece of fabric from the chair.
Third from the left is Laura Savage, executive director of the Ohio Art League.

Someone said we looked like sisters. 👯‍♀️

There were yummy refreshments.

Very thankful for all who joined us!

We got to see lots of friends, some who we didn’t see for a long time. And we got to make new ones.

The Chair!!! Dawn @artatdawn and I created, for our collaboration exhibit, an interactive nature-inspired chair installation that invites viewers to become part of the environment.
And boy was it popular!
Here are some images of the many people that enjoyed the experience. We loved to share it with the public.

The show is up at RAW Gallery for five more weeks.

Do you want to try the chair?
The gallery is open Wed-Saturday, 1pm-4pm
112 E Main Street, Columbus, OH 43215
