That’s it. My first ever showreel. A look into my work as a colorist in the commercial and film industry—from narrative short films to spec spots. I’ve been living in DaVinci Resolve for nearly 10 years now, using it as both my NLE and grading suite. It’s been a hell of a journey—moving from simple node trees to a fully self-taught, high-spec workflow with complex color management. To me, grading is one of the most vital steps in the process. Color is how we „feel“ images. Here are the final stills from the spec spot I shot for Uhlmann Fencing, produced by @fhdo_film and directed by Marius Auerswald. The project dives into the inner conflict of a fencer facing his own mind before he can face his opponent. For the final battle, we shot in a film studio turned into a black void, with a water-covered floor to visualize the athlete’s ultimate focus, where nothing exists but him and his opponent. Poison Ivy by Luca Tales Impressions from a low budget music videos I directed, shot and edited in 2023 for Luca Tales. Shot on a Panasonic S5with vintage glass (Vivitar 28mm f2 & Helios 58mm f2), this project was all about creative freedom - working with limited resources but unlimited passion. Indie filmmaking is both a challenge and an opportunity: fewer people, tighter schedules, but complete control over vision and storytelling. Two legendary racetracks. Two intense Track Days. One unforgettable experience. Had the opportunity to follow PeterBonkper4mance at the Hockenheimring and Nürburgring, documenting the performance and precision of a Porsche 911 992 GT3 Cup – finished in a stunning, one-of-a-kind yellow livery that truly stood out on and off the track. Motorsport photography is all about timing – capturing speed, movement, and emotion in just a fraction of a second. With limited chances to get the perfect shot, every moment counts. At the end of the day, we had a rare moment: an empty pit lane, bathed in golden hour light.
