I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Dani and Beni twice a year for 8 years… my muses, my twin flames, my fellow November 16th’s, my greatest gift…

Although we have been making these photographs together for coming up on a decade, I’ve only ever shown a single photo of them just one time in a gallery setting - thank you @slowexposures for that opportunity!

I’ve taken well over a couple thousand photographs for this project, so when @emilyearlphoto and @jon_witzky asked me to be a part of the show at @artssoutheast I knew our biggest challenge was going to be narrowing them down for a group show setting. But, I am so happy with the final selection that was made and I can’t begin to say how thankful I am to be a part of “No One Belongs Here More Than You” opening ✨tonight✨ in the Ellis gallery!

To share this space with other incredibly talented photographers makes it even more special.

I hope to see you tonight and I can’t wait to share just a few photographs of my girls, Dani and Beni. This is just the beginning! Stay tuned for the day when I finally put together one massive exhibition when we reach our tenth anniversary. 👯🏼‍♀️ taken in ARTS Southeast by @robinbirdy

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝘾𝙮𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙣 𝙀𝙜𝙜 𝑰-𝑰𝑽 a series of Polaroid emulsion lifts within my on-going project 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙪𝙚𝙩… this project is a now three-year, multi-media series on the topic of endometriosis, women’s health, and my own experience with both. This particular series started in the south of France documenting each day of every menstrual cycle over a four month period of time…

Beyond excited to have a piece of this project in the upcoming show 𝑵𝑬𝑿𝑼𝑺 opening tomorrow night at @camaleon_xpo 🖤

And what a gift to share my work alongside other artists working in the world of analog media. Hope to see you tomorrow night!

Not much has changed in 20 years…

I got my first camera for my 8th birthday from my great grandfather, who was also a photographer, and I don’t remember a time that I wasn’t carrying a camera around ever since then.

My Pa used to lug around multiple cameras everywhere he went for as long as I knew him and I always knew I wanted to do the same.

What a dream to be doing just that each and every day. Thank you to everyone who has kept this little dream alive. And thank you to the plethora of cameras who have allowed me to see the world through various sized view-finders all these years.
