Café DIOR by Mauro Colagreco is overseen by Mauro Colagreco, the chef behind the three-Michelin-starred Mirazur. Dior says he created a signature selection of sweets inspired by nature and Dior’s house symbols.

The café is designed around Dior’s Parisian codes mixed with Thai references, with elaborate bamboo flora and fauna installations and custom furniture. First you enter the store then on the right side you will see the cafe.

It's important to note that they don't accept walk ins and you will need to reserve in advance. We tried their pain au chocolat that looked cute. Just be ready to pay for a 600'peso coffee and 1k pesos ice cream 😆

When you want classic Thai food that feels like home, this place never fails. We had catfish salad. Tom yum, tom ka gai, shrimp cakes, beef curry and Tub Tim krob.

Tried jumbo yakiniku in Tokyo and found out it recently opened in Bangkok so we decided to spend Robin's birthday dinner here.

We ordered the wagyu sushi - to die for! I've tried wagyu sushi before but it's usually raw, this one was a super thinly sliced beef that they cooked before putting on top of sushi rice, then we also ordered the sukiyaki cut one which they cooked for us and dipped in egg-the cut was thicker than usual but melts in your mouth, tried the rosu cut and it was lean and soft too, and the main event we ordered the chateaubriand which was around 400g as minimum order but took around 20-30 mins just to cook it. They would cook then make it set and cool for several times before we were actually able to eat it.

We don't really like super fatty or marbled beef so we consciously get the lean cuts. All cuts in Jumbo are wagyu so they're still marbled so it's just a matter of how marbled you want it to be.

Went to the Dib Museum in Bangkok and unfortunately the museum itself was closed but enjoyed the outside area and the exhibit of James Turrell, his first permanent exhibit in South East Asia.

The exhibit is called Straight up and it’s an immersive light-and-space installation designed to make you experience light, the sky, and your own perception.

So as you enter the tower you sit down by the ledge and then look up the sky. The top is actually open so you can hear the outside and see the actual sky. However, the light in the tower changes to different colors and as that happens the color of the sky changes also as your eyes gradually adjust. I was able to capture some colors but check out the video- as the video finishes the sky turns grey.

Moving on to Bangkok! One of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok because I love everything crab and this curry crab always hits the spot especially I don't need to peel it! The garlic shrimp is also good.

Had fun going to the Team Lab exhibit at the Botanical Garden. This is their only show that is outdoors, all other shows are indoors. Went to this before but it was super cold that time, this time weather was perfect!

Sunday well spent. After holy mass, we went to see the newly opened exhibit of Maestro Fernando Botero, on of his largest retrospectives in asia with more than 112 works. I also loved that it had one of the most vast Botero merchandise available and nice ones. The show runs til August 30, 2026.
