🏖️ While Texas froze, we glitched into Florida mode…sunburned, snorkeling, dodging lizards, and questioning what country we were in.

We toured Rollins, UF, U of Tampa, FGCU, and Palm Beach Atlantic, then soaked up 85° blue skies in Jupiter. Ellie and Robert found schools they love.

Happy heavenly Father’s Day to the best one ever. My dad is the next to Muhammad Ali. Ali and my dad were acquaintances. The two on the left were two of my dad’s best friends. George Foreman and Tony Fritch (cowboys kicker)

My dad grew up on a chicken farm in a rural part of Delaware. He started a factory job but had a manager that told him he was too smart for factory work and to make something himself.

So my dad drove to Houston and started selling cars and put himself through law school.

My dad bumped into a federal district judge at a drugstore near River Oaks and introduced himself to the judge and somehow parlayed that conversation into a job working for the judge.

Later, when my dad was a practicing attorney, he bumped into George on the street, literally, and they became very close lifelong friends.

My dad taught me that you create your own opportunities. You make your own breaks. And even if you’re shy, you do it anyway. by @roblord_fl
