Hello! My name is Christel and I am the owner of Ginkgo Tree Tattoo in Fort Collins, CO. I have been drawing and painting all my life and began tattooing in 2009. I love many styles of tattooing, including but not limited to art nouveau, realism, neotraditional, art reproduction, anime, illustrative, and Japanese. I especially love tattooing portraits (people and pets!), and realism/ neotrad mash up. I'm so grateful to be able to create art and make connections with people through my work! Thanks for your time!

Here’s a little informational video on how to use my website to start a new tattoo inquiry! It’s really not that scary, especially since my lovely coworker @shiv.tuck streamlined the process! Just click the button and let me know what you wanna get started! It can’t be as daunting as editing this video was! 😅

Another Studio Ghibli tattoo for Eva! This is one of the older movies from the studio, and such a beautiful story. More pieces yet to come!

I had the honor of tattooing this pet portrait for Frederic of his sweet Italian Greyhound Marsha. You can really see how sweet she was, just look at those eyes!

Had a blast creating this take on Princess Mononoke for Jason! I really enjoyed being able to run with the concept and design the piece in a hybrid style, somewhere between realism and neo-traditional, in only red and black. Can’t wait to see it healed!

Added this half-living fox to Hunter’s leg sleeve! We’ve been having fun coming up with nature inspired pieces within the theme of life and what comes after. Thanks for looking!

If you’ve ever had your palm tattooed, you know how painful this spot is! Kim sat like a freaking beast for this! Always consult with a professional tattoo artist for a piece like this as there are many considerations, including but not limited to longevity, pain, design limitations, social acceptability, and healing.

Did you guess it?
This piece is a subtle nod to the Gilmore Girls for my long time client Ariel! Can you spot the little Dragonfly Cafe reference? This piece was so fun to do, I love Art Deco!

Just kidding! Delanie was so enamored of her trip to Scotland that she got these Scottish flowers and bird as tribute to her time there, as well as for her husband’s heritage. Just look at that cute bird! Maybe it could use a friend? I had a great time making this piece for an awesome lady!
