The amount I love this dog is actually insane. He brings me pure joy, every single day. Give me my husband, my dog, and a cabin in the woods, and I will be a very, very happy man. by @roboutadventures

First Mother’s Day without you. A friend once told me that grief is like carrying around a heavy rock. The rock doesn’t get lighter, but you get stronger. Some days are good, some are bad. I miss you so much. I talk to you every day, and I’m certain you talk to me. I love you mom, Happy Mother’s Day. by @roboutadventures

Tired. Proud. Fulfilled. The past two weeks were nothing short of amazing. Our @outadventures journey took us from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We explored ancient temples, monasteries, and rural communities. As I begin my journey home, my heart is full. Our group of 39 came together in a way that is really rare… in a way that broke generational barriers and opened hearts and minds. We learned from the people we encountered along the way, and from each other. Truly thankful to my co-host @alf_barbauribe, our incredible group, @edie_entertainer who kept us laughing, the 9 guides we had along the way, the staff at our extraordinary hotels, and the crew onboard the @pandaw_river_expeditions RV Mekong. Until next time! Cảm ơn! by @roboutadventures

Take me back to Namibia. Oh. Wait. I’ll be back in June, and have just 3 spots left on the @outadventures tour! Trust me when I say these photos do not convey the vastness of space, and how different this country is from any other African nation. DM for more details, and join me this June 8-18th. by @roboutadventures

When I’m asked which @outadventures trips are my favourite, our Southern Africa adventure is always at the top of my list. These past two weeks have been nothing short of amazing as our group explored Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa together. From one of the world’s largest waterfalls, to the Chobe River, a Sabi Sands safari like no other, and The Mother City - Cape Town. In this industry, we are truly fortunate to provide the opportunity for guests to check off bucket list destinations, however, the real beauty is in the connections we make along the way. While this adventure is now over, I’m confident saying we’re all walking away with new friends, a deeper understanding of South Africa, and full hearts. A huge thank you to this group of folks who reminded me exactly why we pour our souls into creating these journeys. I am a lucky man. #outadventures by @roboutadventures

Greenland has to be one of the most surprising destinations I’ve visited in years. I’ve seen the photos, the videos - and nothing prepared me for the natural beauty I explored alongside wonderful people, onboard the purpose-built Quark Ultramarine. From massive icebergs to glaciers that took our breath away, and friendly communities where we were given the opportunity to learn about the history of this secluded nation. We started as travel companions, and wrapped up as a family. We laughed, we cried, but most importantly we created lifelong memories that will hold a special place in all of our hearts. Thank you to each of you, and to the incredible team at @quarkexpeditions. taken in Greenland by @roboutadventures

After an @outadventures discovery trip to a secret Asian destination, Nick and I travelled to Japan to revel in the beauty of Mount Fuji, and for a bit of retail and food therapy in Tokyo. As always, this country exceeded our expectations. The stunning and down to earth @hoshinoya.official Fuji in Kawaguchiko blew our minds. Hands-down one of the best places to stay when visiting Mount Fuji. Then, our base in Tokyo was the @hotel_groove Shinjuku where our groups stay in the heart of the city. To top it off, we had the pleasure of spending an evening with the always welcoming @koizumi.shintaro. With bellies and suitcases full, and a new trip to plan, home we go… by @roboutadventures

This was my fifth trip to Nepal in 15 years, and every time I’m surprised at how much I love this place.

Kathmandu is chaotic - literally teeming with life. The starting place for any traveler, it can knock you off your feet if you’re not ready for it. The hustle is real, the scent of sandalwood ever-present, and the countless temples a clear indication of the majority Hindu population.

A short flight (not for the faint of heart) takes you to the Himalayan region where life slows down. Replace temples with Buddhist monasteries and stupas, set against a backdrop of mountains that can not be described in words alone. This is where our @outadventures group spent the bulk of 17 days, hiking from village to village, sharing the trail with other trekkers, sherpas, yaks, and donkeys. A smelly affair at times.

Our ultimate goal was Everest Base Camp, although if there is one trip that is more about the journey than the destination, this is it. It’s the suspension bridges, the stunning vistas, the challenging acclimatization hikes, and the camaraderie that make the journey unlike any other. But it’s not for everyone. The altitude, remote accommodations (some scarily basic), and aches and pains that come with hiking over 130km for nearly two weeks straight make this not only a physical challenge but also a mental one. We were fortunate to have excellent weather and two outstanding guides, Kusang and Kevin, who helped us along the way, ensuring we were well cared for. We also had a support crew of four porters who carried the bulk of our gear so we could enjoy the hikes and ultimately make it to Base Camp. We motivated each other, compared blisters, navigated varying degrees of colds, and ultimately kept each other company during our achievements, and our woes.

This trip was about so much more than just checking off a bucket list item. It was about challenging ourselves, facing fears, and conquering self-doubt. A huge congrats to my fellow travellers for making it back in one piece. Your determination was inspiring, and I’m so incredibly thankful to have been a part of your journey to Nepal. by @roboutadventures
