To God be the glory. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Watching my baby girl leave for college has been one of the hardest and most beautiful moments of my life. 🥹🙏🏾🥰

From being class president, graduating Summa Cum Laude, winning countless school awards, and becoming Player of the Year two years in a row in basketball… to now beginning her journey at the University of Florida, God has truly had His hand on your life every step of the way.

You are beautiful, intelligent, gifted, and so full of purpose. You’ve already seen parts of the world most people only dream about, from Italy to France, Spain, Switzerland, and Japan, and I know this is only the beginning of everything God has planned for you.

What makes me the proudest isn’t just your accomplishments, though there are many. It’s your heart. Your kindness. Your faith. Your love for God even when nobody is watching.

I already miss and love you more than words can explain, but I know you’re walking into this next season with purpose, grace, and strength. Keep God first, trust yourself, and never forget where you came from.

At midnight, my baby turned 18.

I keep thinking about the first time I held you. You were so tiny, and I remember whispering prayers over you before you could even understand them. Now you’re stepping into womanhood, and I’m still praying over you the same way.

Brie, you are alive not only because I carried you, but because God chose you. He knew you before I did. He ordered your steps before you ever took your first one. Even in the hard seasons and the tears, He has been guiding you.

I’ve watched you go through things that should have shaken you, and somehow you kept your faith. You kept your softness. You kept your light. You are so intelligent, so thoughtful, and so kind. The way you care about people, the way you lead, the way you carry yourself… it makes me so proud to be your mother.

“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23. Your steps are ordered, my love. Your future is already in His hands.

No matter how grown you become, you will always be my baby. I will always cover you in prayer. I will always be here.

It was senior night Thursday and I have struggled to make this post but it had to be done! I have watched Brie grow into this beautiful, God loving young lady, and I am so incredibly proud of her. I know without a doubt that God has her future in His hands. The trials she has faced at such a young age could have broken her, but instead they strengthened her. It is truly amazing to see her still standing, still smiling, and still trusting God. Brie, I am and will always be your number one fan, not just in basketball but in life. Keep leading with love, keep shining your bright light in this world, and never forget who you are and whose you are. My heart is overflowing with gratitude and godly pride as I celebrate my son graduating from the University of Miami. Watching you grow into the man you are today while balancing the demands of college football and your education has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Every early morning, every late night, every sacrifice was worth it, and I am so incredibly proud of you.

As your mother, I have witnessed the hard work, pressure, and perseverance behind the scenes. I have watched you push through exhaustion, doubt, and challenges with strength and humility. You never gave up, and you stayed committed not only to your goals, but to your character. That means everything to me.

Above all, I give all glory and honor to God. It was His grace, His protection, and His guidance that carried you through every step of this journey. God ordered your steps, sustained you on and off the field, and brought you to this moment. I am thankful beyond words for what He has done in your life and for what is still to come.

What a way to start the season! 🙌🏾 My son Matthew played his first game of the season and showed up strong. Watching him out there on the field, giving it his all, fills me with so much gratitude. They went up against Notre Dame and came out with the win, but more than that, I’m just thankful for the opportunity to see him doing what he loves. 🏈❤️ I love you! 🥰

Every step, every moment, every blessing is all because of God. I don’t take it for granted, and I’m beyond grateful for the doors He continues to open. 🙏🏾

Feeling so grateful and blessed! 🙏🏽 My oldest son had his first game of the season and they came out with a big WIN! 🏈💪 He blocked a field goal and changed the trajectory of the game! It was such a joy to see him back on the field doing what he loves. I’m so thankful to God for allowing it all to happen and for the chance to witness these special moments. Luther McCoy II has officially graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota!
A true student-athlete, he persevered through injuries, long hours but never lost his focus, poise, or his faith.
