I never could have imagined just how difficult the last six months would be.
Sorting and clearing my parents’ home, and saying goodbye to my childhood home of 43 years — the home we moved into in 1983 when I was just seven years old — has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
With the sale now complete, I close the door on a chapter filled with a lifetime of love, laughter, tears, family milestones, happiness and belonging. This wasn’t just a house; it was home. It was where I grew up, where memories were made, and where I always felt safe, loved and that I belonged.
The sheer magnitude of leaving the only place that has always been there — the only safe place I’ve ever known — is hard to put into words.
While the house now belongs to someone else, the love, memories and sense of home that lived within its walls will stay with me forever.
Most of all, thank you Mum and Dad. Thank you for creating a home filled with love, warmth, security and acceptance. Thank you for the countless sacrifices, the unwavering support, and for giving us a place where we always knew we were loved and where we would always belong. The house may be gone, but everything you gave us will remain part of us forever.

Goodbye Ashburton… Arrivederci Casa . Grazie for 43 beautiful years. ❤️🏡 1983–2026

From page to stage, this coat for Christmas Carol Goes Wrong has been on a journey. It began as a working drawing where every line and seam hinted at the character it would become. A toile fitting brought the shape to life, allowing us to perfect the cut before choosing the final fabrics — luxurious textiles imported from Italy that gave the design its true personality. Once crafted in the real materials, the coat was fitted and refined on the actor, every detail tailored to their movement and presence. And at last, under the glow of stage lights, the finished piece stepped into its full glory — a costume born from imagination, skill, and storytelling. ✨🎭 @christmasgoeswrong @mischiefcomedy @dan__fraser @dsi_costumes #scrooge #christmascarol #CostumeDesign #costumedesigner #westend #westendplay #westendcomedy #FromPageToStage #TheatreMaking #BehindTheScenes #CostumeConstruction #ToileFitting #ItalianFabrics #StageMagic #TheatreDesign #MakerProcess by @robrob77
