You can have both!

Here are some things I do to ensure I have the best luxury travel experiences while on a budget:

1) Keep a separate savings account specifically for travel (I use @qapital and make weekly & monthly deposits)
2) Look for travel deals online
3) Politely ask for upgrades when available
4) Plan out the trip as much as possible to account for how much I plan to spend
5) Research the best local spots in my travel destination to avoid paying tourist prices
