👋🏼 Meet JAX 👋🏼 aka Jaguar or Batman ⇩⇩

Who is the handsome stud appearing in my stories? That’s Jax, my new fur-missile partner! Jax is a Belgian Malinois from Slovakia, and we teamed up in mid-August 2024. We train hard every day to serve our community. Jax is a social dog with a calm demeanor (for a mal), but he has that switch most handlers want and can turn it on when needed. He’s a super smart boy, excelling in training and, of course, loves a good belly rub.

I'm looking forward to a successful career with him!

**UPDATE:** In December 2024, we were certified in patrol work, which includes obedience, apprehension, tracking, building searches, handler protection, and evidence location. And in June 2025, we passed our USPCA narcotic detection certification. We are officially a dual-purpose patrol and narcotic team!

**December 2025 we obtained a second narcotic detection certification through MCJA.

We will continue to certify annually in all specialities for the remainder of our career.

Jax will be three September 2026.

Jax’s K9 Storm vest is here, and it’s even more special than I could’ve imagined. K9 Storm embroidered a Christmas tree in honor of Jim — a beautiful touch that means the world. 🌲

I’m blown away and can’t wait to share it with Mary.
Huge thanks to Erik Larson for connecting me with Jessica at K9 Storm and making this happen.
This one’s for you, Mary — in honor of your dad, Jim. 💙

Lastly, huge thank you to Kendra at @30x30fundraising for making this a seamless process. We couldn’t have done it without you and Andrew @longa2210

Honoring Their Service. Remembering Their Sacrifice.

The National Police Dog Foundation is proud to introduce our new Line of Duty Death (LODD) Committee.

We’re working nationwide to identify and honor fallen K9 heroes, with nearly 29 K9 deaths being tracked in 2026 alone.

These heroes deserve to be remembered. Our mission is to ensure their sacrifices are recognized through the National K9 Memorial and at the National Law Enforcement Officers Museum in Washington, D.C.

Sadly, some of these losses, especially heat-related deaths, are preventable.

Know of a fallen police K9 who deserves recognition? Visit our website and submit a form under “How We Help.” Link in my bio.

Every K9 has a story. Every sacrifice matters.

Grateful for our team at the ⇩
