I would love to say this journey has been rainbows and unicorns, but that would be a total lie.

They say with great risk comes great reward, and as I sit with my path since leaving corporate, I’ll be the first to tell you that it hasn’t been easy.

But the one thing harder than leaving my safe 9 to 5 job was sitting inside an office knowing I was capable of so much more.

Knowing that while working inside the company, my income, my potential, and my freedom were capped.

Sometimes we risk our perceived security for a life where we get to build our own security.

One of the hardest decisions I ever made was to give myself permission to become a better version of myself and step into the unknown.

If you’ve received a vision of yourself doing something big, speaking on stage, or making an impact on a larger scale, the vision exists for a reason.

Even if you aren’t yet the person ready to carry it.

Through practice and consistency, you will be.

Change doesn’t have to be scary and painful when there is psychological safety.

Knowing that as you are transitioning through a specific phase of life, that all will work out for the best and possibly even turn out better than you could have imagined.

Change is inevitable. We can either move with the tide or against the tide.

You can take baby steps or take big steps.

Please believe in yourself more.

Lean in when most people lean out.

Be willing to change and become a greater version of yourself.

Show others what is possible through you.

Today, I read a post about a woman who recently launched her first product and got crickets. The silence perpetuated self doubt and a fear of what this perceived failure could represent for her.

That is the voice we must conquer in our minds if we wish to become successful.

It’s the part of us that says we can’t do it, we aren’t capable, and we don’t have what it takes.

But I am here to tell you, the greatest lessons are learned through “failure to launch” because you will be offered more than enough data to improve the next time.
