What started as a vision to create something meaningful for the students of Osborn High School is coming to life. 💚🌱

Through the Ford Philanthropy Global Caring Month grant, RO Cares Foundation is working alongside an incredible group of volunteers and community partners to transform Osborn’s courtyard and greenhouse into spaces students can enjoy, learn from, and be proud of.

A huge thank you to The Lawn Academy and Friends of the Rouge for bringing their support, expertise, and energy to this project.

This is what community looks like. And we’re just getting started. 💚

A huge THANK YOU to Detroit Wing Company for showing up for our volunteers and staff at Osborn High School! 🍗❤️

During our Ford Philanthropy Global Caring Month Courtyard Restoration Project, Detroit Wing Company generously sponsored meals for the amazing people who gave their time and energy to help us transform this space. 🌱🙌🏾

Community impact takes community support, and partnerships like this remind us what’s possible when local businesses choose to give back.

From everyone at the RO Cares Foundation, thank you Detroit Wing Company for supporting our mission, our volunteers, and the Osborn High School community. 💙

🌱 TRANSFORMING SPACES. INVESTING IN STUDENTS. IMPACTING DETROIT. 💚

The RO Cares Foundation is proud to be bringing new life to the courtyard and greenhouse at Osborn High School @osbornstrives on Detroit’s East Side!

We’re incredibly grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the @fordphilanthropy Global Caring Month grant, helping us turn this vision into action and create a refreshed space that students, educators, and the Osborn community can enjoy for years to come.

And projects like this take a TEAM.

A huge thank you to @thelawnacademy and @rougefriends for backing us up, bringing their expertise, and helping us make this transformation possible.

This is bigger than renovating a courtyard — it’s about showing our young people what can happen when organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community come together and invest in the spaces they deserve.

📺 Tune in to Channel 7 ABC News for the full background story on this project, the work happening at Osborn, and what’s still to come!

We’re just getting started. 💚

Still smiling from the 2nd Annual Cuts, Care & Community Festival! 🎒✂️🫧❤️

Thank you AGAIN to every family who came out and spent the day with us, and to everyone who donated, supported, volunteered, and helped make it all happen!

A special thank you to @rocares_foundation for calling on Play Mates Community and trusting us to help bring this festival to life. Working together, we were able to give families a day filled with FREE backpacks & school supplies, haircuts, food, magical bubbles, popsicles, music, activities and so much more. 🥹✨

We hope every student has an AMAZING school year! 📚🍎

And we’re not done yet… our Give Back Festival is coming up next, so make sure you stay tuned! 👀❤️
