As we prepare for our powerful Oct. 30 concert (Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary), and acknowledge #Rochester as a #SanctuaryCity, we are also honored to recognize and support #rochestercontemporaryartcenter for its important current exhibit, “Sanctuary: Borders & Belonging in 2026.”

This courageous exhibit includes a major community interview project documenting nearly 100 of our neighbors telling their immigration story. These interviews were conducted by local artists, videographers, and community activists. The Community Interview Project will never appear online and will only be viewable at RoCo during normal gallery hours through November 14th.

There is A LOT to witness, consider and learn from, so please check it out at 137 East Avenue. by @rocatorio

Soprano @kathrynlewek_ 20121 winner of our Rochester International Vocal Competition just appeared with the Canadian Opera Company in a revival of #Traviata, to critical acclaim on bachtrack.com.

"The Violetta, Kathryn Lewek, is perhaps best known for her Queen of the Night but is clearly branching out at present. She has a very accurate voice with unsurprisingly excellent coloratura...by 'Sempre libera' she had hit her straps and pretty much every aria produced huge applause. Her big scenes – the duet with Alfredo in Act 2, the confrontation with his father and, especially, Act 3 – were really quite touching, as well as technically excellent." Photos by Michael Cooper.

Brava Kathryn! #wherearetheywednesdays by @rocatorio
