#AD Excited to announce my collaboration with Fitbit for their latest tracker, the Charge 6! I embarked on my fitness journey back in 2016, motivated to overcome my scalp conditions and the desire to feel better. Thanks to my best friend @iamsherene_ , I got my first Fitbit and became a dedicated user. It’s been instrumental in helping me maintain a healthier lifestyle and take care of my body. @newshelluk Told myself I could do 100 units in short space of time, and guess what? I DID IT! For this month’s beauty box subscription with @theindybox , I had to speed up production. Got a small fridge to cool down formulas faster. Now I’m more confident with larger quantities. Day 4 & 5 recap at @cannes_lions .For my first Cannes Lions, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Here are my biggest takeaways:1. If you’ve already got projects and passions gaining momentum, just go. Cannes helps you build on what you’ve already started.2. Find the decision-makers. Get introductions where you can, be respectful, and don’t be afraid to start the conversation.3. Spend more time in creative spaces. Being around ambitious, curious people is incredibly energising.4. The best opportunities often come from genuine connections. Day 2 & 3 at Cannes Lions… this post is coming as one! 😆Between the heatwave and all the connecting, it’s been exhausting but exhilarating at the same time.Doing the research before I arrived was definitely worth it. I came with a clear idea of who I wanted to connect with, while staying open to meeting anyone and everyone. That balance has led to some of the best conversations.Over the last couple of days I’ve been to:• FreeWheel – Televisionaries: The TV Leaders Panel• @blackdoctor – hearing Yvonne Bryant, @realrapman and former American professional football player @realrclark speak about sickle cell.• Activations at the Amazon and great talks at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Creators Beach with Adobe • Seeing @garyvee at Chez Vayner @vaynerx @vaynermedia And the cherry on top… I got to meet Beyoncé’s mum, @mstinaknowles . 🤍I’ve also made a few surprise connections that I wasn’t expecting, with some incredible brands looking to work with creators. Day 1 at @cannes_lions 🌴And what a start.Today was filled with conversations around wellness, AI and excellence. From hearing insights from @devibrown and @keke at @_thewellnessoasis , to attending the Black Joy Brunch with @microsoft , and listening to @dhar.mann and Steven Bartlett. Then attending an AR exhibition by @jonathanyeo @snapchat @specs I came to Cannes thinking I was here for inspiration and to network.Instead, I’ve realised it’s really about having a clearer strategy for my vision.Not just who I meet, but how I nurture those relationships afterwards. How I build on the opportunities they create, steward my gifts, help the next generation, and ultimately build a life that I truly love.Day one has definitely given me a lot to think about.Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the week brings. 💛#CannesLions #Storytelling #Wellness #Filmmaker by @rochellesnewman
