Pyramid Peak, September 2020.

Tougher trek than I anticipated, my legs were feeling it.

My buddy Matt and I spent the last weekend of summer hiking to the summit of Mt. Tallac in Lake Tahoe. I know it can be hard to tell where I am given the low angle, but in Matt's eyes even surrounded by the breathtaking view I was still the star in his eyes.

If I were some IG influencer wannabe I'd probably caption this: "Get lost and find yourself." Or some pretentious shit like that.
Fact is I was out hiking alone, which means I set this camera up, ALONE, ran over to that spot, POSED for WAY longer than was necessary to make sure I had the shot, and looked longingly into the distance. Then jogged back over to my camera to take a peak at the outcome. If you don't think that shit is funny I'm not sure how we became friends.

Last weekend I hiked to the summit of #MtBailey, then saw @northlane, @erraband, and @crystallake777 at the #BossanovaBallroom in Portland. Two things I thoroughly enjoy that I've been neglecting as of late. Wicked hikes with dope views and heavy metal shows. Time to get back to it! taken in Bossanova Presents by @rock_dropper

Be the change you want to see when your reflection is your true self, the Self within that grows like a tree spreading its branches of knowledge dropping its acorns of strength that sprout like mountains in our minds when we see what truly belongs in our hearts. Don't let shadows of doubt cloud your small weak mind, don't let it rain down pebbles of dissatisfaction. A grand quarry never trembling. Solid. Like a rock. Ford. Built Ford Tough. I am a Prius on the highway of life changing lanes without an indicator because I don't give two rat shits if I crash and burn; the old me will rise from the flames even better than before. Phoenix. Flight of the Phoenix. Starring Dennis Quaid. He's talking about building us another airplane.

Just thinking about my friends, and family back home. If you're not in this video then we already know why. We're not friends. Never were. Never will be. Social media posts are the end all, be all. Mightier than the Ten Commandments, but less... crumbly. taken in Monterey, California by @rock_dropper
