On this day in 1986, legendary Metallica bassist Cliff Burton tragically passed away in a tour bus accident in Sweden. Burton was an integral part of Metallica's first 3 studio albums. Kill em all(1983), ride the lightning(1984) and master of puppets(1986). Cliff's death was very sudden and he played his final show on September 26th, 1986 in Stockholm, Sweden. Ironically, the last song Cliff ever played live with Metallica was fade to black. 40 years after his tragic death, Cliff Burton continues to inspire and guide generations of bassists of all types of music all around the world. His presence is felt just as much now as it was when he was still here. Cliff had a nack for thinking outside the box and doing things in music that seemed unorthodox to many others. Some of those things gave birth to some of the best and most recognizable bass parts and songs in metal history. I'm sure James, Kirk and Lars are all feeling their age now that it's been 40 years since they lost a great friend and bandmate. Cliff's memory will never die. It will continue to live on through Metallica's live shows and in the hearts and minds of fans like myself and future generations to come. Rest in peace Cliff 🙏🙏🕊️🕊️🔥🔥🤘🤘🎸🎸 by @rock_n_roller19

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in American history. On this day in 2001, nearly 3,000 lives were lost when 4 planes crashed. 2 into the north and south towers of the world trade center, the Pentagon and a field in shanksville, Pennsylvania. 3,000 lives including civilians and first responders(firefighters, police officers and paramedics). We thank those first responders for their sacrifices. They ran towards the danger while others ran away from it. We also remember all the families that lost their loved ones that day. Let's all hope nothing horrible like that ever happens again🫡🇺🇸🗽🦅 by @rock_n_roller19

On this day in 1988, Metallica released their 4th studio album, and justice for all. This is the first album Metallica released after the unfortunate death of Cliff Burton in 1986 following the release of their 3rd studio album "master of puppets". This is also the first Metallica record to feature Jason Newsted on the bass guitar. Newsted was brought in to audition for the role of the bass player after Burton's passing and would remain in that post until 2000. Many great songs are on this record. Hits like "One", "Blackened, "Harvester of sorrow" and the title track. Also great deep cuts like "dyers eve", "to live is to die", and "the shortest straw". Fun fact, "One" was the first Metallica song to have a music video made for it. It would also be the reason that Metallica won their first Grammy award and the category would be "for best hard rock/metal performance". To this day, it's one of Metallica's best records and is one of the most influential metal albums of all time. Some fans have felt that this was the last album Metallica released where they were an actual thrash metal band but I slightly disagree. METALLICA RULES 🤘🔥 by @rock_n_roller19

I can't believe I'm actually saying this but one of my childhood idols stopped by my workplace the other night and of course I was off work that day. A nice lady I work with showed me a picture she took with 10x NBA all star, former NBA scoring champion and basketball hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony aka Melo. One of my favorite players ever #StayMelo by @rock_n_roller19

Happy 63rd birthday to one of the biggest metal legends of all time. Metallica co-founder, frontman, and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield. A modern day metal legend without a doubt. For over 40+ years, him and Metallica have completely redefined what it means to be a metal band through platinum albums, sold out stadiums and arenas, the legions of fans including myself and some of the most recognizable and iconic tracks in metal history. I was fortunate enough to see them live for the first time last year and it was freaking awesome 🤘🤘🔥🔥😎😎 hopefully I'll see y'all live again, METALLICA RULES 🤘🔥🎸 by @rock_n_roller19

On June 16th, 2017. Cars 3 was officially released. This installment in the cars franchise follows Lightning McQueen. McQueen is now an experienced veteran. He's now a 7x Piston cup champion. He also now faces a new challenge, the next generation of racers led by the very fast, very cocky Jackson Storm. These next gens may have the technology and speed to win but McQueen has the experience, knowledge and connections to racing legends like Doc Hudson aka the fabulous Hudson hornet. Now McQueen must prove he still has what it takes even though Storm keeps hinting that, like many other legendary racers before him, McQueen is old and should retire. So he enlists the help of a young and aspiring racer/trainer Cruz Ramirez. Can't believe it's already been 9 years since Pixar almost had us witness Lightning McQueen's farewell which became his comeback story by @rock_n_roller19
