Project big or how to make a bespoke jacket according to @sebastianhoofs . #sebastianhoofs #bespoketailoring by @rockandneedle

Project big or how to make a bespoke jacket according to @sebastianhoofs . Thank you for this journey @sebastianhoofs 🥰🔥🥰. #sebastianhoofs #bespoketailoring by @rockandneedle

Project Big or how to make a bespoke jacket according to @sebastianhoofs .

Project big or how to make a bespoke Jacket according to @sebastianhoofs . 😅#sebastianhoofs #bespoketailoring by @rockandneedle

#sebastianhoofs by @rockandneedle

Project Big or: my journey into bespoke tailoring.
First major step done: I do have a pattern! ❤️
I worked with @sebastianhoofs masterpiece „how to make a bespoke jacket“, followed the instruction very closely without any modifications and just added an adjustment the book suggests for a better back fit. And I’m absolutely blown away by this result. The fit is simply perfect and the outcome better than I could have ever dreamed of ❤️. I’m just going to slightly raise the position of the first buttonhole for a slightly more feminine look. #sebastianhoofs #bespoketailoring✂️ by @rockandneedle

working tidy ribs is the most important but also the most difficult task when it comes to sophistacted looking knitwear. The problem is that the transition from purl to knit stitches and back always changes the yarn tension. This leads to a wonky looking stitch either at the beginning or the end of a colum. In my case it used to be the first knit stitch after a purl (as you can see on the last slide). To adress this problem you need to concentrate on the stitches before and after the culprit. What works best for me is working an eastern purl stitch (that produces an extra tight purl stitch) and stretch the 2nd knit stitch as much as possible to tighten up the 1st knit stitch. The 1st and the 3rd knit stitches are knitted normally. The eastern purl changes the direction of the stitch on the needle, so please pay attention not to twist your stitches when you continue. Happy kitting🥰 by @rockandneedle

I love everything about this project: The shape, the drape, the purl line and of course this electric blue💙.
Pattern is the childhood sweater by @ankestrick . Yarn is @pascuali_official merino baby held together with @langyarns_official lace. Body is knitted on 3,5mm needles, collar and cuffs on 3mm needles. by @rockandneedle
