Justice has long been one of my favorite people of all time to jam with and thats because he is always pushed my improvisation and ability to evoke emotion with my playing. I am very excited to announce that we have reached 1k subscribers on our new Youtube Channel Grateful Lakes and can officially monetize now!!! Here are some highlights from our latest videos. We are still learning a lot when it comes to filming, editing, and even canoeing lol. But his is a huge milestone for us and we can’t wait to keep getting better everyday.

Grateful Lakes is meant to combine our love for the BWCA, Great Lakes region, and the outdoors as a whole with our love for the music of The Grateful Dead. I record all the music for these videos and everything is 100% human made, no A.I. anywhere! And it will always be that way. So if you are passionate about the outdoors or good music, please consider subscribing. It is undeniable to say the these times have been filled with civil unrest and collective grief in our country, world, and more importantly our beautiful state of MN. I first and foremost want to acknowledge that my love and thoughts are with you all. But I also want to announce that in the midst of all this chaos, my bandmates and I were able to complete an awesome project.

Our band @the.jambronies have made a submission to the Tiny Desk Concert Contest for 2026. We chose to perform the song “Walk Me Down”. This is one of my favorite songs I have ever written, and it was written in honor of our Great Lake Gitchi-Gami. To say I am proud of the group is an understatement. We discovered the opportunity, and in less than a week we had all the logistics dialed in. @sirbensduluth our homecourt, let us use there space for a private Sunday session, and our super cool bass player @seth_anderson96 lined up our video guy and sound guy. Major shoutout to them along with @crayolacraig keyboardist and @ptheitz drummer for helping this all fall into place. This was the funnest project we have ever done together and gets me real excited to do more.

For those that do not know already @the.jambronies is a band jam band I started that has heavy inspiration from The Grateful Dead (of course), Jack Johnson, Bob Dylan and the likes. A fusion of Jazz, blues, and what some may call Spongebob rock? Idk what to call it really. Taking a page from jam bands across the world, we focus on never performing the same show twice, and always leaving room for improvisation on stage. We performed this song just like we would at a show.

Well another year around the sun for @em____gem ❤️ a day late because we were in the BWCA celebrating and had no service, the way it should be 💫
I really only post on here maybe a few times a year. One for Em’s bday, one for our anniversary, maybe a couple snowboard tricks here and there. But every moment with you is worth sharing (or keeping to ourselves because it is so special). It is hard to find words to express the true feelings of love and gratitude I feel for you baby angel, and every day that passes is a gentle reminder of the blessed life we share together. The comfort and support I feel with you through thick and thin. And all of the timeless memories and adventures we have conquered, and continue to plan. You are a star shining from the heavens and into my heart! ❤️ a life partner I can and always will count on 😭🙏💘 I love you so much, you already know that, and hope you feel it everyday 😘❤️

These were the best tricks from the video, but that’s not the point. It’s this @stevesolkela guy. I stumbled up to the rink for the 1st time in awhile to be pleasantly surprised and immensely entertained by his 1 man bandsmanship. I had no idea this show was going on and the music inspired me to make a video. His songs were funny, original, and by golly he would play anything in hands reach if he had to. After being off IG for over 2 years, this felt like a milestone worth sharing. Was really feeling the love last night and was over the top stoked to take home the crown at LOTR. Thank you to all my friends and everyone for all the love and support and to all the people I met. Thank you @theinteriorplainproject for continuing to host the most iconic midwest contest in snowboarding and @trollhaugentroll for hosting year after year. Honored to add my list to the name of greats who have taken home the crown @kyleknndy @moketownusa @petecroasdale @mennybilam @juiccyjokerr. The midwest snowboard community is truly one of the best in snowboarding and I love you all ❤️❤️❤️

This time off IG has been very grounding and rejuvenating for the mind and soul. It has helped my personal growth and has allowed me to step away from myself and focus on more important things in life and enabled me to ignore distractions and comparing myself to others. There are already enough distractions in life as is! It has also allowed me to give more love to the relationships in my life that matter most. But there are so many of you out there that I miss keeping in touch with so reach out ❤️ I do not plan to have an online presence really at all but wanted to check in and say I still love yall ❤️

Other updates: @em____gem and I went on a trip to Belize this past January and it was a monumental experience. We learned about Mayan and Caribbean culture and saw some amazing and beautiful natural wonders. Our first international trip (outside of Canada) and we couldn’t have wished for a better vacation. I should also thank @em____gem for being my biggest supporter and lover you mean so much to me ❤️ the @spindropolis premiere was last fall and it was all time. @botanicalboardrider23 did an exceptional job as well as all the other homies involved @crayolacraig @margaritavilledude @david_hertel @caleb_swanson13.

And update for the future: I started a band with some friends and we got our first gig opening for another band at the Caddy Shack in Duluth. We are “The Jambronies” and would love to see familiar faces there ❤️💜💚
