ROCKET Longboards are made in our own workshop in Steinen SZ, in the heart of the Swiss Alps. What once started as a one-man company is now a family business. Every single board is handcrafted by us from start to finish. Innovation is one of our main goals when we develop new shapes and concaves. We only use certified wood and the best reinforcing fibers, adjusted perfectly to their respective field of application. Therefore our boards are lighter and more durable than other longboards on the market. All our decks are CNC machined and fulfill the highest quality standards. We put a lot of time into development, keep pushing the limits, and raise the bar every year. After all, this is our passion. Before our vacation, we were hard at work building plenty of boards. And as the saying goes, you can't make an omelet without breaking eggs. And to stick with the proverbs: misfortunes never come singly. If something goes wrong with a standard board, it sucks. But if something isn't right with a custom board, it’s even worse. Unfortunately, that happened to us twice. But when life gives us lemons, we make delicious Gin & Tonics for you. πŸš€ We built a beautiful Swan with a Texalium finish for a customer. Since we messed up the tail on the first one, we actually got to build it twice. Having long toyed with the idea of building a Swan with for torsion tails, I took the opportunity to try it outβ€”and it worked brilliantly. The board is now in our webshop, ready for you to grab. πŸš€ The second board was a full custom job. Based on the Do mini nation mold, the shape and wheelbase were shifted toward the rear, allowing you to stand in the front pocket while simultaneously positioning your feet over the truck. We also used the Naturalite construction, known for its exceptional dampening qualities, which you might remember from the old Phoenix. Everything was perfect, except for the fact that I - being a total idiot - laid down the topsheet with the graphic facing the wrong way. I rarely lose my temper, but that was one of those moments. Come ride along for a @rocketlongboards Rambler V2 Flex II review. The Rocket Rambler V2 is a drop through wedge deck with a composite construction, ideal for keeping distance fun and functional. Specifications Length: 35.9” / 91.3 cm Width: 9.7” / 24.6 cm Wheelbase: 29.3” / 74.5 cm Concave: 0.55” / 12 mm Wedge: +9Β° front -13Β° back Construction : SFI certified canadian maple, Glass fiber, Embossed ABS topsheet This particular setup included @paristruckco 150mm 50Β°, @zealousdownhill bearings and @orangatangwheels 85mm 77a Caguamas. Overall this setup was a significant upgrade over the V1 and has made us an immediate fan of the V2. The V2 is a more compact deck, but still has plenty of room to move around. This model also comes with a much more distinct flex profile that plays out with incredible comfort given the Rocker/Camber/Rocket layout of the standing platform. The spoon concave upfront made for an incredible, confidence inspiring pocket when combined with the wedge nose. Drop through mounting results in an incredible low, stable, confidence inspiring platform that made every bit of pushing, pumping and downhill just a little bit easier and carefree.
