Life is too short to be boring, get out there and enjoy it

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Here they are, the Taranaki Rugby Referees Association crew for 2026 (most of us anyway 😀)
Hard to believe I’m already in my fourth season as part of this awesome bunch of people, I guess time does fly when you’re having fun haha, still remember my first game back in 2023 as if it were yesterday
I’m grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received over the years from these guys, and I’ve enjoyed getting out there and doing the hard yards the best way I know how (even if it means I take the occasional knock 😂)
The hard work on the field, the relationships I’ve formed, making so many awesome memories on and off the field… that’s what keeps me coming back year after year
Still got plenty left in the tank, can’t wait to see what lies ahead for the rest of 2026 and the years after that by @rocketman147

The glorious life of an AR, trying to keep up with a winger who moves faster than @jayme_jaydon once he walks through the front door of @sportysbar__ at 5pm on a Friday (not many people I know are THAT fast 😂)
I'm aware his foot may be on the line here, but as a wise young man once said "if in doubt, play on" by @rocketman147

First action shots for the new season from a tough slog between @stratfordeltham and @tukapa_rugby colts at Victoria Park on Saturday, both of them have me hidden away in the background lol
Slide 1: @kylersleep right on the spot as usual, I can't see a thing through the rain
At least one of us is in the right place at the right time 😂
Slide 2: The ball is under control (for now), what are the odds I spot a knock-on from my position here? taken in Stratford, New Zealand by @rocketman147

The return of the short back and sides, courtesy of @arbersbarbers
Certainly makes running the sideline easier with less out the back to weigh me down 😂

Picked up another beauty to add to the collection, first one in a while
Thanks to the legends at @np.thrift_ for putting this one up for grabs
Retro Taranaki Rugby Referees jersey (thinking late 90s-early 2000s), they were sponsored by Taranaki Farmers at the time so that explains the crazy colour scheme, as if the referee doesn’t stand out enough 🤣 by @rocketman147

Absolute belter of a pickup from the St John op-shop in NP this afternoon
Williment Travel soft-shell jacket from the 2015 Rugby World Cup
Saw this awesome piece while scanning the racks and was absolutely stoked to see it was my size, so I’m keeping this gem all to myself
Bargain of the year so far, only cost me one cup of coffee ($6 😂)
First time in an op-shop for ages and stumbled across this, it doesn’t get any better
