And we're goiiiiinnnnng to Enuuuuuugggggguuuuuuuuuuu! SHUT DOWN THE CITY Thank you @eniffnigeria for selecting Òdè! There Is No Bus Stop On This Trip to show at the Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival @rocksandbadgers pack your bags, the East calleth #thebillionairecreative #odethereisnobusstoponthistrip #shortfilm #storyteller #filmfestival by @rocksandbadgers
I define a story as something interesting happening to someone you care about in a place you know. Regardless of culture, language, or country, the definition remains the same. In fact, you can argue that the true test of a story is whether the audience watches something interesting happening to someone they've been made to care about in a place so grounded, it invokes farsickness. I had the privilege of watching Holy Water, the Iranian film which was in competition for Best Short Film at the just concluded Ibadan International Film Festival, and I must say it's a beautiful, poignant story which says a lot with minimal dialogue in a short runtime. It is a good, solid, well-shot and well-told story. It's no surprise though. Just as beautiful as their film, if not more so, are the Directors @esmail_ramezani1991 & @marzieh.baniali . Interesting people make the best films. If you get the chance to watch Holy Water, you'll concur. Thank you @official_iiff for bringing us together. 🥂to more. If you see Holy Water, then you'll see a story that has an interesting phenomenon happening to an old man you'll be made to care about, in a place you'll realize you recognise...despite, probably, never having gone there. #thebillionairecreative #storyteller #director #iran #holywater by @rocksandbadgers
