This song is about parasitic people that ‘manipulate’ people into doing things they wouldn’t normally do, say things they wouldn’t normally say and drain the life out of the host. These parasites will “exploit the host’s vulnerabilities” by pretending to care, lying to them, getting them drunk, or invoking some fake sympathy. These parasites will “pull them down” to their level with “deceptive reasoning” that convinces the host that the parasite has the “answer to all that they need”. These cumulative ‘infections’ build up ‘toxicity’ in the host to the point of killing the host from the “inside-out”.

Parasites are “completely apathetic to the suffering” of its host. They don’t care even when the host is on their own death bed. Parasites can attract other parasites whom they can also deceive and they can be very methodical in getting what they want. Once they’ve gotten everything they need from their host they will move on to their next victim.

Some examples of parasites we commonly see are the person always reaching for their wallet to pay but never does OR the leech that is always a taker and never a giver OR the person who’s never there when you really need them OR the relatives fighting over expensive jewelry after a family member dies. But Karma’s a bitch and eventually all parasites get what they deserve.

The “worst-of-the-worst” parasites are those that go after one host exclusively and remain committed to destroying that single host, known as a ‘direct’ parasite. An ‘obligate’ parasite cannot complete its life cycle without a host and they rely entirely on the host for reproduction and survival. Due to the obligate parasite’s inability to ‘reproduce’, if this parasite is unable to infect a host, it eventually dies…as it should. by @rocksunrecords
