Not every open door is your door. 🚪
That’s a lesson I’m still learning!

When an opportunity is good, somebody needs help, or someone says, “We really need you,” it can feel like the faithful answer has to be yes.

But does every good opportunity automatically become our responsibility?

In Acts 16:6–10, Paul has a good, godly plan—and the Holy Spirit still redirects him.

That’s what we’re talking about in Episode 47 of The Busy Disciple Podcast:

How do we know when to say yes—and when a faithful no might actually be obedience?

Before your next commitment, ask:

1️⃣ Does this align with what God has already entrusted to me?

2️⃣ Am I being led by peace or pressured by fear?

Because capability is not the same thing as calling.

Just because you can carry something doesn’t mean God handed it to you.

And good people, here’s some freedom I need to remember too:

You are not the answer to every need. Jesus is.

Your job isn’t to do everything.

Your job is to follow Jesus faithfully.

Who are you…

when nobody is watching? 🤔

Not on Sunday.

Not in front of your folks.

and Jesus.

I love the Gospel of Matthew!

Not just because it tells us who Jesus is…

But because it challenges us to ask:

Who’s really leading my life?

Matthew gives us Jesus as the Savior who forgives us.

And, he presents Him as the Teacher King who deserves our wholehearted obedience.

Dads, let me ask you something:

What if your greatest contribution to your children isn't what you provide...

but how present you are?

Psalm 90 says:
"Teach us to number our days..."

Because our days with our kids are precious.
And they move faster than we think.

In 2 Timothy 4:7, Paul says:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

That’s the goal.
