ROOKIE MISTAKE 😂

I was so excited on the day of this shot…got to the site early last Saturday, gear was dialed in and prepped…thought I was ready to go. Took what I thought were awesome snaps all morning long ha ha 😂😂😂

Got home, imported everything into Lightroom and started to edit the first shot…WTH!!!!! There was SO MUCH noise. Second shot, third shot…grainier than a bowl of shredded wheat! So, looked at my camera and it became very clear AUTO ISO. Dang it! Freakin ROOKIE MOVE.

I did manage to get one shot; literally one. Focus point was deeper into the gorge…thus, this wonderful shot 😊 Tell me about your rookie mistakes and be HONEST now 😃

Throwback Thursday 😎

Mt Rainier National Park and the road to Sunrise! This is my favorite side of the mountain by far. The hiking, the sweeping views and landscape is just amazing. There are so many opportunities, not only on the park, but just outside of it as well. Cannot wait to get back up there. The mountain is calling! Have you been to the Sunrise side of Mt Rainier National Park?

Hard to believe it has been 46 years since this mountain blew its top. The last shot, in the set, is where my dad, brother and I watched it erupt; that day is etched into my brain…even all these years later.

Road to Recovery

Haven’t posted here much. Honestly, haven’t been motivated to do so. I have been dealing with a bum hip that has truly impacted everything that I love to do; especially the outdoors 😞

That all changed this last week. I went in for a full hip replacement and now I am on the road to recovery.

I have a lot to do before I can get out hiking and taking snaps again. However, this is the most optimistic I have been since I began dealing with hip problem; last Major hike was July 28, 2023!

Anyway, hope you enjoy this photo. One of my favorite road shots.
