🏆WE WON!!🏆 It took me so long to wind down and go to sleep last night! I’m paying for it today, but it’s worth it!

You guys - at the beginning of this year I was coming out of a lot mentally and I didn’t have much in mind to hope/seek/pray for concerning myself and my pursuits. But the ONE THING I did state was that I wanted was to be in a musical this year. (I haven’t been in one since 2014).

The way everything fell into place for this to come to fruition - I can’t call it anything BUT an answered prayer! Not only did I RANDOMLY get dropped into the company of these amazingly talented and kind humans, but I got to perform in a new(ish) work that’s so well-written, get back into singing on stage AND exercise my comedy chops all in one go! I couldn’t have asked for a better return to form.

Let me be clear… this road was NOT easy. I was beset by every manor of infirmity to the point that week 1 of rehearsals I cried over the fact that I might have to call and quit the show. But PERSEVERANCE, patience and a little bit of faith got me through and I’m SO GLAD!

I’m so glad I got to be a part of this. I’m so glad I got to see my more seasoned Fringe cast-mates win after years of hard work and hope! I’m so glad I got to share space with such incredible people who were all ready, willing and able to rally around one another, and lift each other up when it was needed. And I’m so glad that we were able to make a show that we could be proud of - one that resonated with so many.

In light of the end… the beginning doesn’t seem so bad. 😊🙏🏾 by @roddyg

Happy Birthday to my Dad, my Pops, who has always been the loving, supportive pillar behind me and our whole family tree. Grateful I got to take part in your 70th celebration weekend. Even more grateful to have you in my life for as much time as we’ve been given (and hopefully many years more). You’ve given so much to so many: means, advice, support, a place to land, and I know you still have so much more to give. You are so loved and that was evident this weekend. I could not be more proud to be your namesake. Love you Daddy-O! Happy 70! taken in Formerly Green Mill Social CLub by @roddyg
