about six of us were sleeping together, and we were making the same dream, dreaming a single body for us, and occupying it together, and feeling everything it felt as we were making it and occupying it, and dreaming it, and being together, turning into us

no we didn’t have to talk, or to explain, or to manage any agreement or disagreement or deciding, because we felt everything together, and understood our feeling fully, and we could move and change and play in how we felt together, and we could make it feel right and feel good to be together

we were shaping our body with our desire for how we wanted to be

we followed our pleasure and it was easy

so we stretched ourself out and stretched open our mouth and unglued our eyes and looked together at our wiggly hands and down at our body glistening we and smiled wiiiiiide and grew our shapes and wet them and sinewed them and popped out colors and blotted them about all over us by @rodellwarner

y’all, my absolute dearest friend and i just got married on sunday <3<3 and it did feel like the first snow of the winter fell just for us on our wedding day.

my relationship with tahjia has been important to me from our first conversation, and over the years we’ve known each other they’ve been hugely influential in my life.

tahjia’s poetry makes me ambitious. when i say “i’m not a poet but i need to be”, that’s me saying “i wish i could do with words the kinds of things that tahjia does”.

the way tahjia’s thoughtfulness manifests as gentleness is the beauty standard of intelligence that i strive for and judge all interactions by. they’re also easily the funniest person i know :] i’m humbled to be chosen by them.

we’ve been so thankful for everyone’s best wishes over the last couple days <3<3 thank you <3<3 by @rodellwarner

@internetarchive has officially archived one trillion webpages 😳 and to celebrate they’ve partnered with @grayareaorg to commission web-based works that engage with the archive’s vast holdings.

I’m a huge fan of the Internet Archive, so this was a pleasure to create.

Massive thanks to curator @habitualtruant for inviting me to be a part of this!

The sound you hear in the screen-recording in the first slide is “Rainbow in Curved Air” by Terry Riley. It’s not a part of the work, just highly recommended musical accompaniment ✨🎧✨

Ghosts of the Internet Archive (2025)
Rodell Warner

In this interactive net.artwork, artist Rodell Warner developed a generative web application that creates “ghosts” from scattered digital materials across discarded blogs from the Web 1.0 era, now contained within the Internet Archive.

Each digital asset has been excavated from someone’s personal page, which the artist spent days pouring over and selecting intimate fragments from. Through a serendipitous, algorithmic process of recall from this highly curated dataset, Warner forces the found content to overlap and occupy the same display area. Ephemeral phantasms from a lost era of the web float across the page, conjuring an eerie feeling of looking through the veil of digital life and death.

Ripped out of their original contexts, a bygone era of visual culture, the results of this experiment create connotations and connections, both intentional and unintentional, on each of media artifacts in the mind of the viewer. In this way, Warner invites audiences to consider the visual legacy of the Archive collection and its lasting impact on cultural memory. taken in Internet Archive by @rodellwarner

Emerging Exits is open again this Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Book your timeslot via the link in our bio (only a limited number of tickets available) to visit the monumental Diogenes Bunker in Arnhem, where time slows down and other perspectives come into view.

The Trinidadian artist Rodell Warner @rodellwarner is showcasing his work in Emerging Exits. Rodell Warner works primarily in new media and photography. Rooted in an exploration of race, nature and technologies of representation, the artists’ practice draws upon personal and institutional archives to rethink the past, and on digital processes to index emancipatory futures.

Experience Rodell Warner’s work in Emerging Exits - on view until November 2, 2025.

Rodell Warner is also featured in Embodied Encryption - an exhibition at our partner @platform_post in Arnhem. Embodied Encryption explores how bodily freedom and justice for oppressed groups can be pursued without turning away from artificial intelligence. On view until December 14, 2025.

@emerging.exits just opened in a gargantuan WWII-era German command bunker in the forest in the Netherlands and there’s a dark corridor in there where one of my Artificial Archive video works is installed.

There are a lot of works there I wish I could see in person. If you’re anywhere near Arnhem definitely go see this show. It’s open until November 2 and after that the bunker is permanently closed.

Huge thanks to @marijnbril and @sjakoo for inviting me to be a part of this strange and timely exhibition, and congratulations to them for pulling off something so extraordinary. Thanks to @liekew0uters for connecting us!
