We loved our time at @sextantio 🤍 it was a medieval village in the mountains of Italy that was once ruled by the Medici family. It’s now been given a new life and has the mission of restoring and preserving the original way of life there. The food was all so savory and delicious. Jarrod and I learned how to make bread 🥖 which I didn’t get any footage of because I was hands deep in dough for hours! This is also where we hiked and had our picnic at Rocao Callisto. On our 2nd day there it started to snow ❄️ and by our third day we got our car stuck on the mountain 🏔️ luckily our cave rooms were cozy and we had plenty of yummy Italian food to keep us happy, but we still had to leave a day early to avoid the unpredictable April snow storms ⛈️ so much inspo from this place. Everyone who worked there gave us the best hospitality that we experienced over the whole trip. Especially loved Cucoa in the cafe, Andrea in the bread making, and everyone in the restaurant! Can’t wait to drink the bottles of wine we brought back for our 1st and 10 year anniversary. We hope to visit their other location for another anniversary!

I’ve waited my whole life to turn 30! And I’m happy I got to spend it with my amore💕 in Roma, Italy 🇮🇹 at @thehoxtonhotel .

The morning was spent at @sextantio where a surprise April ❄️ shower nearly trapped us on the mountain side. Although we really wanted to stay another #honeymoon night there, we had to call an audible and book it to Roma!

We arrived, had 10 mins to change and went down to the Beverly for dinner. Our waiter Alessandro, and Chef, Giacomo went over the top taking care of us. We cleaned our plates and had the best meal a couple of #omad people could have. We highly recommend these:
•Not the Mcarthy Salad 🥗 if you like a blue cheese Cobb
•The Hoxton Carbonara
•The flat iron chicken 🐔
•mexican spicy pork Ribs 🐖 it melted off the bone
• DIY tacos🌮 and we are picky being #texmex
•the apple pie 🥧
•the baha & espresso martini

The overall vibe of the hoxton is similar to the @virgin , which we all know I’m obsessed with. Although the hoxton’s design leans more toward classical vintage than mid-century modern. But I prefer the elegant touches and have to say I like this more. The DJ at the bar was serving new music all night that we vibed with. 10/10 recommend. Leaving here inspired, well worth the cost.

So, this happened a few months ago…. Proud owner of the most expensive pecan. Klay ate a whole pecan. Ended up needed life saving surgery to get it out. He’s since made a full recovery and are able to laugh about it.
