🌴 Greenbush just for the boys!

We jumped on a boat from HT’s to surf some uncrowded waves down south, camping out for a few days, sleeping in board bags on the roof of the boat - until it started pouring with rain - and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.

The truth is, we’d been sailing around for a few days but hadn’t really scored the waves we thought we would. Until this day…

We pulled up at the Bush with no expectations. No one out, not many sets, and a bit bumpy.

We dropped the anchor, had a coffee and some boiled eggs -by this point we’d probably each eaten 20 boiled eggs during the trip- and waited to see if things would improve.

Next thing we knew, the wind turned offshore, cleaned up the ocean, and we ended up having the most special 90 minutes of surf. Just three friends in the water, trying to pick the right ones.

The last section was closing out on 99% of the waves, so the only thing going through your mind while deep in the barrel was: doggy-door the end section or hit the reef.

No one got injured, no broken boards, and everyone made it back to the boat safely.

Big smiles all around, then back to HT’s to celebrate.
