Happy anniversary to my all-time favorite artist, the legendary @mariahcarey 💘

Mariah is actually a huge reason why I created rod.vinyl. In 2020, when I discovered Mimi’s discography, I was so amazed at it that I felt the need to own her albums, which led me to collecting music in physical format (first some CDs) and then led me to vinyl records.

As a music lover, I adore listening to different types of artists, bands, genres and eras, but Mariah will always be my #1. She is what I always looked for in someone who makes music and I will always be grateful for it.

Thank you so much for your art, @mariahcarey 🤍

Happy 60th Birthday to one of my faves, ever: the LEGENDARY Janet Jackson! What a legacy Janet has built over the years, and what an amazing album run she has had since 1986 with Control.

For me, Janet goes beyond being just a pop star. She has crafted big conceptual albums and eras with deeper meaning, experimented with different genres (being a trailblazer in new jack swing), revolutionized music videos, and is an influence for pretty much all females that came after her.

As a Gen Z listener, discovering her catalog 5 years ago has been one of my proudest moments, because it’s truly impeccable. And there is no way one can talk about pop and r&b music without mentioning Janet Jackson!

Thank you, @janetjackson for all of your contributions to music 🩶
