Finished up a week with the 2026 Genesis G90 3.5T E-SC MHEV Prestige Black AWD. Yes, the name is a mouthful, but this is a lot of car. This Korean flagship competes directly with the BMW 7 series and Mercedes S-Class. Length-wise it’s less than 2 inches shorter than the Benz but half an inch wider, and visually it looks much wider.

Power comes from a 3.5 liter twin-turbo V6 with an electric supercharger producing 409 hp and 405 lb-ft. The BMW and Benz offer more power but at a significant price bump.

The exterior styling delivers properly elegant luxury vibes and the lighting and grill treatment are certainly more pleasing than the BMW. The doors are powered for both open and close and 4-wheel steering makes maneuvering and parking this beast much easier.

The very black interior is at a standard you would expect in this class with quilted leather and black ash wood trim. The rear offers up two power adjustable lounge seats with both heating and cooling. The passenger side rear seat offers the full first class experience with a power footrest and a button to move the front passenger seat all the way to the dash.

The car is loaded with tech as you would expect and it features an excellent Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium audio system.

The driving experience is luxury vs performance oriented, but the big sedan moves along quite nicely when prodded. Price as tested: $107,750. by @rogergarbow

If you live in my part of Connecticut, look for the latest issue of 068 Magazine featuring my cover story on @chevrolet’s iconic Corvette. “America’s sportscar” has been around for over seven decades and the latest C8 generation offers performance that seemed unthinkable not that long ago.

For the article, I spent a week with a 2026 hybrid, AWD, E-Ray. Supercar acceleration with daily driver comfort and reliability. Plus all the tech you could ask for, improved ergonomics, a front end lift and the targa top to let the sun in.

For the photoshoot, @chrisbishop7525 and @americanmetalcustoms gave us access to a client’s spectacular Elkhart Lake Blue ‘67 427 Coupe. The C2 Coupe is still my all-time favorite Vette and the styling is truly timeless. But after a week with the E-Ray, it’s hard to argue with the leaps that have been made in the last 60 years.

Spending a few days with a 2026 @cadillac Escalade Platinum Sport. In an excellent Deep Sea Metallic blue with a Sheer Gray and Jet Black interior.

The drive down to Maryland was a breeze, in spite of the traffic. Super Cruise is still the best advanced cruise control system on the market, imo. True hands-free driving, with automatic lane change, and no ping-ponging, due to GM’s mapping of every mile of limited access highway. The system just works. And the driver monitoring is spot on.

Plus, the massaging and cooled seats are wonderful on a road trip.

Spent the day hauling family around and even the third row passenger was comfortable.

This puppy is loaded with an MSRP of $128,835. That’s a big number but this is a lot of vehicle. Although, I think the 24 inch wheels are a bit of overkill.
