I have not really posted much of anything in the last few years. This was one my favorite runs on what is by far my favorite new mountain to explore on Hokkaido. This was my first time down this line and I stopped short as I always get a spooky vibe when the getting is good but I see no evidence of other tracks. Sometimes if it seems to good to be true then you might just be heading towards a gully of no mans land.. much more to sus out on this hill. What lovely POW. by @rogue.lemming

All in all I am blown away by Chamonix.

Everyone here is so healthy and happy. The vibes are warm and friendly. The food is amazing AND there are multiple lifetimes of adventure to get up to in these mountains. Tubbataha Atolls, Philippines, May 19th to 26th 2023. What a wild place on earth. It’s hard to convey through photos the sheer scale and adventure of this place. It’s over a 100 km from the nearest land. Most of the atolls are 6m below water with sheer walls that drop off 1 km to 2 km deep with only a few sandy beaches above water at low tide. This is usually a mecca for large marine life such as whale sharks and mantas but alas the ocean was too warm this season. However we saw huge schools of reef sharks, barracudas, huge schools of massive bumphead parrotfish and endless colorful reefs teeming with fish. Looking back on California. We had bluebird pow days, blizzard conditions and many days where the mountain was so buried in snow such that they could barely open lifts. The snow pack was up to the third floor of the resort.. So glad I got to experience the snow apocalypse of Mammoth Mountain 2023. by @rogue.lemming
