A little bit about me 👋

If you’re new around here, I’m Matty.

For the last 5 years I worked in the corporate side of the hair & beauty industry, looking after salons, barbers and businesses across Scotland and the North East.

I loved the industry, but I always had the feeling that I wanted to be on the other side of it — actually behind the chair.

So earlier this year I made a pretty big decision.

I left my corporate job, trained as a barber and decided to give myself the chance to build something of my own. Shoutout to @sbbarberingacademy - legends.

Two months ago I joined the team at Badlands Barber Shop on Great Western Road, and since then I’ve been working on building my own clientele and getting better with every cut.

It’s been a massive change, but honestly, I’m absolutely loving it.

So if you’ve been following along, supporting me, liking my posts or even just watching me learn and build this thing — thank you. It genuinely means a lot.
