10 June 2026.

A date I’ll never forget for the rest of my life.

That night, everything changed.

I was admitted to the ICU. My liver was severely damaged. I lost almost 8 kg, and even after 2 months, I’m still recovering.

There were moments when I completely broke down. I still remember crying in my hospital bed, looking at my papa and saying,

“Papa… mujhe ghar le chalo yaar.”

But the hardest part wasn’t the pain.

It was watching my parents.

They had already lost their daughter once. And now they were running from one hospital to another, praying day and night, crying outside the ICU, hoping their son would come back home.

While my family was fighting for me, people had already made up their minds.

“Ye toh daaru peeta hai, isliye liver khrb hua hein”
“Nashe karta hai.”
“Har waqt bahar ghoomta rehta hai.”
“Pata nahi kya kaam karta hai.”
“Galat logon ke saath uthta-baithta hai.”

It’s funny how people are always ready to judge you without knowing the truth. But when life tests you the hardest… they’re nowhere to be found.

And today… moments like this remind me why I never gave up. ❤️

I became the Grand Winner of OPPO × Discovery.

More than the prize money, the biggest reward is seeing my parents smile again.

I’ll let my work answer every question.

For now, I just want to recover completely, pick up my camera again, and get back to doing what I love the most.

A special thank you to every friend who came to see me in the hospital, called me, checked on me, and made those difficult days a little easier. I’ll never forget it. ❤️

To everyone who prayed for me, stood by me, and believed in me… thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️🙏

I survived this chapter.
Now it’s time to write the next one. by @rohitt_jpeg
