My Space Oddity series is currently on view at the Seoul Station media wall until the end of April, screening every 8–10 minutes throughout the day.

Following my exhibition at Outernet London three years ago, this marks the largest presentation of my media work to date—something I’m truly grateful for.

The Space Oddity series is a body of work that reflects my childhood dreams and serves as a tribute to astronauts. One of my long-term goals is to present this work at the NASA space center in Houston, where the Apollo program first began.

I hope to one day share it in extraordinary venues like MSG Sphere and Times Square. Until then, I’ll keep working hard. 🚀 🔥

I will coming soon!!

(Design Chef)’.

Place series collected 🏢🌊

In my paintings, I reconfigure these boundaries through architectural planes and lines, shades of blue that evoke the sea, and the texture of concrete. While the SEA THE WALL series explores the creation of new spaces, Place deconstructs these elements, composing the canvas through their most fundamental material qualities. In my sculptural works, I translate the divisions and sense of space found in my paintings into physical space. The boundaries within my work are both lines that divide space and places where humanity and nature meet. by @rokkankim

Sea the wall 44

2026.07.01 - 2026.08.31

SEA THE WALL 🌊

The Summer Exhibition of the media project Seoul Standard Time will be held at Haechi Madang from July 1 to August 31, 2026.

The second 2026 exhibition at the Haechi Madang Media Wall transforms familiar urban landscapes into stages for unfamiliar and imaginative worlds, offering visitors a moment of respite from everyday life and an opportunity to dream beyond the ordinary.
We invite you to pause for a moment in front of the Media Wall, discover your own vision of summer, and take time to imagine landscapes beyond the everyday.

CHASE PROJECT Vll
KiM JONG HYUK - BEYOND BOUNDARIES
ONGOING

Excerpt from the Artist Statement
This is the transformation I am exploring in ’Place: New York‘, and it is also why this work belongs within the context of the ’CHASE PROJECT‘.

If the earlier ’Place‘ works were about observing the order of the city, ’Place: New York‘ is about moving beyond the boundaries of that order.
