Horses don’t let you drift — presence is the whole thing. I keep trying to live the rest of my life that way.

What are you choosing to pay attention to?

The magic lies in the process, the road, the adventure itself.

It has taken me years and many re-dos to understand that beyond the final image, the achieved goal, the feeling of completion, what matters the most is the way to those things.

It’s in the middle of it all where you will find yourself the most… Enjoy it! That doesn’t mean be happy all the time, it means to accept and feel what is… the good and the bad!

The same photo can feel completely different depending on what it’s printed on.

My work is usually available on paper, canvas, and metal, so the choice is also yours.

📜 I put together a free guide to choosing artwork for your space, including size, placement, materials, and framing. It’s available by tapping the link in this post or the link in my bio.

6–10 inches above the furniture, center of the frame around 57–60 inches from the floor. If they ever disagree, trust the gap.

This will keep the piece and the room reading as one thing.

Like many Colombians, I’ve been following the World Cup and cheering for the national team.

It’s also had me thinking about home.

These photographs were made in Valle del Cocora.

It’s home to the wax palm, Colombia’s national tree and the tallest palm tree in the world.

Most people know this landscape under blue skies. I arrived to fog, clouds, and a landscape that felt almost dreamlike.

The place was the same.

The experience was completely different.

A quiet room can hold something unsettled. I like it when it does.

Our attention is so valuable, and we’re finally starting to know it. It feels good to realize this is one thing you get to choose. So — what are you choosing to pay attention to?

Reflections win that argument every time. Choose matte paper, canvas, or matte metal instead.
