BOOM—blast from the past, baby!
Found this Nikon F in the wild looking like it had been through a war and a moon landing. Naturally, I said: “Yeah, I’ll take it.”

What started as a fixer-upper turned into a full-on restoration—and a tribute to a legend. I fell in love with the history, the design, and the legacy this camera carries. So much so, I went all in recreating vintage Nikon F ads in HD.

Product shots in a lightbox, digging into vintage typography, hours of editing just to get it all right—this was a true passion project from start to finish.

Massive respect to @nikonusa @nikonjp for building something so iconic, it still sparks creativity over 60 years later.

More to come… this is just the beginning.

Shooting @psychedelic_blues_film always feels like a roll of the dice. You never quite know what you’re going to get—but that’s half the beauty. The color shifts, the light leaks, the unpredictable bursts... each frame becomes a kind of visual jazz. Improvised. Unrepeatable.

This image, though—this one felt rare. The fish drifted into place, completely unaware, and the film responded in turn—casting a spectral halo across the frame, as if the moment itself wanted to be seen. You couldn’t plan this. You couldn’t replicate it. It’s a singular exposure—an intersection of instinct, chance, and chemistry.

This isn’t just a photo—it’s a one-of-one moment. Nature and film meeting by chance. No setup, no second take. Just light, timing, and a little chaos. That’s what I love about film—it doesn’t just show what’s there. It reveals what you never saw coming.

This piece will be on display tomorrow night at @east.la.film.shop Grand Opening Gallery. Come see it in person—printed, framed, and alive in a way no screen can truly hold 🙂‍↕️

So I spotted this tiny shack just sitting out in the waters of Long Beach, so comically and oddly placed it almost didn’t feel real.

Naturally, I started framing it like a Wes Anderson film. I even called him up to give me some pointers since we’re really close like that (none of that happened, I lied, I’m sorry)

Aside from the composition influence, I even started thinking like him and imagining lore for this tiny shack. I pictured an equally tiny gnome living there, full-on surfer dude, pastel clothes, cigar in mouth.
Unfortunately, I was the only one around to laugh.

Anyways… what was I talking about?
Oh right, I’m actually showcasing this piece TOMORROW! From 12pm–5pm at the Grand Central Market for @east.la.film.shop Film & Camera Expo Gallery!! Truly an honor to be selected and to be displayed alongside so many amazing photographers in the community 😌💚

You ever screw up an entire film roll unintentionally because you forgot you had a red filter on and didn’t compensate for the loss of light, therefore metering at the wrong ISO and severely underexposing every shot??!!?
Yeah… me neither haha 🫠

And yet, somehow, a few frames still feel endearing, not because they’re perfect, but because of the adventures and memories baked into them. Kinda goes to show that the moment itself can carry more weight than technical perfection ever could. (you can see I’m coping very well lol)
