Our statement on the decision by the #TimmsReview team to move today's shaping recommendations workshops to online participation only.

Disabled people in South Wales must not be disadvantaged in contributing to a review that directly affects their lives.

Meaningful co-production requires more than simply asking disabled people to participate. It requires genuinely accessible choices about how people can participate.

We therefore urge the Timms Review team to ensure disabled people in South & Mid Wales are afforded the same opportunities to participate in the workshops as disabled people across the rest of the UK, both in-person and online.

Ending the normalisation of female pain in healthcare

I don't often speak publicly about my own lived experience of pain during my medical adventures because I prefer to focus on how common these issues are and call for systemic changes to benefit all. But some of my experiences are also very heavy and traumatic - I've not even discussed them with friends and family.

When I was invited to the @welshgovernment's Ministerial Summit on #WomensHealth to speak about my experiences, I nearly said no. But then I thought, "What better opportunity to speak to a room full of people who can actually do something about it and stop it happening to others?"

So I said yes. I sat next to fellow @ftww_wales Volunteer, Donna (who is amazing), and condensed the last few decades of trauma into five minutes. It was very challenging to voice those things out loud; I cried, as did many in the room. But it was also empowering and validating. It meant so much that it was recognised that what happened to me wasn't just about missed opportunities and training issues - negligence and failure to adhere to clinical standards were at play too.

I was interviewed by @katiefenton97 from @itvwales and was pleased that I managed to articulate the kind of health services I believe we need! (Full piece on my YouTube channel - link in bio.) Donna was interviewed by @ohthatjennyp from @bbcwalesnews and it was great that the patient voice was included in both reports. Thank you Katie and Jenny!

Diolch o galon to @delythplaid and her team for leading this, as well as @rhunapiorwerth, @mabon.ap, and @nerysplaid for being there, demonstrating how much of a priority this is for our new Government.

Spent my morning being transformed by @rhys.jones.hair at @riffraffcreativesalon! 16/10 would recommend, no notes. 🥰

I now possess the ultimate disability trifecta of a PIP whip, pink hair, and tattoos. I'm basically the disabled final boss and if you have a problem with that, I WILL run you over.

A historic day for Cymru 😍 Llongyfarchiadau to all involved who ensured a @plaidcymruwales victory.

When I moved to Wales, I was excited to vote for Plaid Cymru because of @leanne.cymru.

When I worked for FTWW I spent a lot of time at The Senedd and was always struck by how normal, approachable, and kind the Plaid Cymru MSes were, but also how keen an interest they took in listening and learning about the issues being discussed. @rhunapiorwerth would pull up a chair to chat to me, and today @mabon.ap remembered me from my last visit and promised me he has the manifestos I handed him, before wishing me well with my writing.

I joined Plaid Cymru as a member because of @sionedplaid, who is one of the most incredible women I am so glad to know. I was very proud to endorse @peredurplaid as my constituency candidate for this election, and am delighted he's been joined by Lyn Ackerman to represent us here in @plaid.casnewyddislwyn.

I'm also so chuffed for my friend, @_sarahrees_, who I know will be an incredible MS. Da iawn, Sarah!

A huge thank you to everyone who campaigned, especially those who were able to go out and knock on doors, deliver leaflets and chat to people in the community. When you look at Plaid's budget (tiny in comparison to other parties), it's even more incredible when you consider what's been achieved.

Whether you voted Plaid Cymru or not, the 43 members now forming a government will work so hard for all of us. 2026: Gig 2 - The Adam Buxton Band supported by @annabsavage at @thegatelive ❤️

Gorgeous venue, fantastic performances, and amazing access support - what a lovely team of people! Icing on the cake was getting to meet Adam again 🥰

A very busy couple of days with way too much stress yesterday morning (health appointment gone wrong, tale as old as time 🤦), so this was a lovely tonic ❤️
