Happy Halloween! 👻 The real horror story is an empty ballot. Skipping your vote leaves the decisions to everyone else, and that is spookier than any haunted house. Check your registration, make a plan, and show up. Don’t boo. Vote! by @rollingseaaf

Las Vegas moved fast, and I was right in the middle of it. Between coordinating schedules for members and creators, shaping content, and keeping our feeds fresh, every day on the trail was a nonstop juggle. Work and family keep me busy, so I’m sharing this peek behind the scenes after the fact. Wherever you live, your voice carries power. Make a plan, check your polling place, and VOTE on Election Day! by @rollingseaaf

Vegas, we showed up and showed out! 🔥 Cookouts, phone banks, and a rally with @stevenahorsford, @gregmeeksnyc, @jasmineforus, and @aoc filled our days with good food, great people, and real purpose. Our families, our neighborhoods, and our future are on this ballot. Keep fighting for these races, call your people, and pull up to the polls on Election Day! by @rollingseaaf

Souls to the Polls. 🖤🗳️

There’s something powerful about seeing democracy practiced in community.

While following Congressman Steven Horsford and the Congressional Black Caucus PAC through Las Vegas for a day, I watched Black civic engagement happening everywhere we went—in parks, at rallies, behind microphones, among faith leaders, organizers, neighbors, and generations of people showing up together.

And it reminded me that in Black communities, voting has never been only about what happens inside the voting booth.

We gather. We organize. We encourage one another. And then, we vote.

That spirit is at the heart of Souls to the Polls—a tradition rooted in Black churches and communities coming together to turn civic participation into collective action.

And somehow, my day ended exactly where this story needed to end: at a polling place inside an African American community center, surrounded by painted images honoring the history and leaders of Black Las Vegas.

Past. Present. Future. All in the same room. 🖤

The legacy continues every time we show up.

Early voting is underway. Make your plan. Check your ballot. And bring somebody with you. 🗳️💙
👉🏾 Nevada, vote early: October 17-30. Election Day: November 3.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to represent Dear Brwn Mama at the CBCPAC’s Creator Weekend here in Las Vegas!

From meaningful conversations to seeing civic engagement in action, I left feeling inspired to continue creating space for more mothers to recognize the power of their voices.

It was also so fun reconnecting with my former team at Steven Horsford’s office, but this time in a completely different capacity! 🥹

Huge thank you to @cbcpac, @rollingseaaf, @stevenahorsford and @itscarajohnston for including me! 🤎
