In March 2008 I accepted a football scholarship to Marshall University two weeks after graduation I got hit with 19 felony charges facing with 22 years in prison. I took a plea deal for five years probation and ended up going to HBCU shouts NCAT. I graduated with a degree in criminal justice in 2014 due to my criminal record, I was never able to get a job in my field. I started a nonprofit organization working with kids that grew up like me and my Homies today I’ve served over 15k youth help shape a better life! Made my mother many promises as a kid and failed at ever single one. I failed because I was a feign for money because I wanted to be accepted by those around me, I just wanted to live free without worry for once! If I could reverse the time I would listen to what my mother told me. Moms long gone now and never got a chance to see her live without worry without doubt without a peace of mind!
She was the strongest person l’ve ever seen she trust God till her very last breath. Finally she at peace but I never will be! #mothertoson #fyp #savetheyouth by @rollinq7tone

To be real, I don’t want to heal; thats feels like I’m moving on. Iate night is when the shit hit you like a freight train.

When my mom went in, she looked at me and said, “Don’t let them put me on dialysis.” I said, “Okay.” A few days later, I got a call from the doctor telling me that my mom was unable to make decisions on her own and that I was her power of attorney. I had a decision to make; they needed to start her on dialysis right away, and all I could remember was her telling me not to allow them to put her on dialysis. I informed the doctor of her request, but he told me that this was the only way she would live. I told the doctor to do for my mother as he would do for his own. I have no sisters or brothers, and my father is deceased, so my mom is all I have. He said he would do his very best. Two weeks later, she died while on dialysis. Her nurse said she looked up, seemed lightheaded, and then she was gone.

The world will do its best to turn Black boys against their fathers every chance it gets.

In 2025, I was charged with domestic violence, and CPS came in and took me away from my kids. That shit hurt so bad that, for a second, I felt like maybe it was best if I stayed away from my kids forever.

I used to judge fathers who weren’t present in their kids’ lives. Then life taught me to never judge a man without knowing his full story.

When I went to jail, y’all shared my mugshot thousands of times. People laughed in my face and judged me without knowing the whole story.

I was later found innocent. But funny how the truth never traveled as fast as that mugshot did.

My mother raised me right, but she couldn’t protect me from the shit I would face later in life.

So if you’re raising a little black boy, love him—but teach him how to lace up his boots too.

Because one day he’s going to have to become a man in a world that won’t always care about his side of the story.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I feel like one of my greatest assets has always been my ability to build genuine friendships.

Anyone I’ve ever called a friend has literally given me the shirt off their back—invested in my business, helped put a roof over my head, co-signed for me to get a car, even put their name on a lease so I had somewhere to sleep.

I truly value friendship. To me, being a real friend means showing up for people when they need you, because I’ll never forget the people who showed up for me. 💯 by @rollinq7tone

Often I wonder if I killed my mother or not. I wanted to help, and went against her wishes!!! She died because I gave them permission!! I ain’t listen. I panicked. I just wanted her to live. Every night before I sleep I just think til I finally drift off to sleep. by @rollinq7tone

You ever looked at a bird and just got lost in the fact that it can literally just fly away to any place and just be free!! I feel free! August was good most I felt alive In a long long time. Probably the happiest since mama passed! by @rollinq7tone
